Drove this weekend

I couldn't help it. The streets were mainly dry and most of the salt had been washed away from several days of rain. I drove the X yesterday for about an hour. I usually keep her garaged and hooked to life support (battery tender), but the sun was finally out.

The car is dirty but it was worth it! This is the first time I have put her away dirty. It's killing me not to wash her, but I think the water would have frozen right on the paint (didn't want that).

Anyone else want to confess?

I did too. I drive mine as much as I can, so this winter I drove it about 1/2 of the time to work.

When the roads are slippery, I leave her at home.

I could not resist the urge either.
However, I washed mine afterwards.
The temp was just over 40 degrees!

Even if I wanted to I could not drive mine. I have a long driveway up a hill. If I were to drive mine to the bottom of the driveway it would have to stay there until spring.

I resist the urge to drive the car during the winter. Not being able to wash the car and having salt on it bothers me. :(

at least you guys don't have to worry about puttin lots of miles on your cars and washing them once or twice a week:mad:

It's hard not to drive it every day here in sunny San Diego:D

In Sacramento we had a beautiful weekend, after weeks of rain-fog-rain-fog-fog-rain.... So, of course, I was out and about in the X, too. :) Temps were in the high 50's.

Those in the North who are taking their cars out for the first time in a while, don't forget to call your insurance company to reinstate your suspended coverages.

If you want to compare weather, can we compare taxes and housing costs, too? :D

I would like to drive through the winter, but that's what I got my Evo for. I get that sports car feel now for work and all year round.... when I feel the roads are still somewhat clean. I can't help it, I'm still picky about cleanliness on my cars.

Had a nice day today here in seattle and couldn't resist:cool: took out the X and put about 150ish miles on her to make up for lost time:D . Temperature was around 48 degrees today but was sunny and dry all afternoon~!!:p lol my posts (115) match my vin #!!

Oh I'm sure they would have racked on the miles every week if weather permitted them to.

Ooooooh, low-blow. ;)
I met someone this past weekend from Chicago who just plainly said that I was crazy to live out here specifically for those reasons you mentioned. But when we got to talking about weather, she perished the thought of having to come back home!
:D:D:D

NSX in the snow????????

Not me!!! I am having way too much fun being Tommi Makinen in my winter beater doing full drifts around corners with the E-brake! :D

For those of you who have never drove in snow, it is almost as much fun as driving the NSX :p I said almost.... but I absolutely turn into a kid driving in the white stuff. I am that idiot doing 75 in the fastlane while everyone else is doing 40. It is almost like racing at the roadcourse. Who can control their cars the best at full speed (70 or so in the snow) In the summer you can only drive the NSX @ 50% on the streets, but in the winter I can drive my beater @ 100% everyday!!! :D

I practice how long I can hold a drift around long sweeping corners in my Blazer..... :D
