hi all,
my car is going into a local garage tomorrow to have the coolant system flushed as there is an air lock in the system and i mixed the anti freeze in the system and i didn't realise that ordinary tap water is not supposed to be used.
anyway i spoke to 2 different NSX dealerships to find out how much coolant sould be used on a complete flush and the first one told me 3-4 litres.i thought that was a bit low especially with the radiator in the front of the car,so i called another NSX dealer and they told me that it needed 6-7 litres.who is right?
also if possible can anybody tell me what is the correct method for doing the flush and then bleeding the system.i did a quick search but what i need is the complete procedure from start to finish so that i can give it to the mechanic tomorrow so that every thing goes ok.
im using a local garage because the nearest NSX dealership is about 150 miles from where i live and i dont want to take a risk driving my car that far with an airlock in the system, plus i probably could not get the time off work to get there anyway.
i would appreciate all the help i can get on this(we all know how much our cars mean to us).
anyway T.I.A.
James

The cooling system on the NSX holds 12 liters per the manual.
i know the UK pint and the US pint are different but litres/liters are the same the world over arn't they.this is the third different amount i have now been told.it is a little bit worrying

Premixed Honda coolant has only been out for a short time. Are you suppling the coolant for the work on your car because it is unlikely a private garage would have it. They are going to use what ever they can get at the lowest price.
