New Porsche 911 (997)

back in the day...

hmmm, how did the Porsche "purists" respond to the 996 and it's newer-style headlamps when it came out...? I mean, now it's goin' back ol' school...

Yeah it seems the styling took a step back. I liked the way the styling was going with the 996. I was hoping the 997 would take another step furter from the round headlight design. I guess the porsche guys like the older look =P

The Porsche loyalists were not happy that the Boxter (aka Porsche w/pantyhose) bore too many similar aspects w/the 911.

I prefer the look of the 996 Turbo. Maybe the Porsche loyalists will love the new 997 and the resale value of the 996s will plummet and I'll be able to pick one up for cheap :D :p

the boxter would have looked better with the 'new' styling change the 911 went through =/ but thats my opinion

the boxter would have looked better with a retro stylin. the 996 is absolutely gorgeous i wish they would have continued that route. Porsche could have had the best looking exotic in a few years =p
