Here is a car that is "not" New to the European market, but "New" to the US.

I was advised by a rep. from the company that "only" 50 of these handmade vehicles are going to be imported into the U.S @ $280,000.

4.2 liter Audi S8 engine @ 400hp with a top speed of 190MPH. All aluminum construction, weighing @ 2500lbs. The vehicle runs 4.5 seconds from 0-60 MPH.

this doesn't sound right. a 4.2l 400hp car weighing 2500lb should be running the high 3s for 0-60.

F360 is around 4s for a 3000lb 3.6l 400hp spec...

if the NSX has this spec, it will probably run high 3sec

Hot car. I know Busta Rhymes has had one in his collection for at least a year now. I doubt I'll ever see one on the road, but it's good to know they're coming over. I'd like to see Pagani and Koenisegg (?sp) make the jump to our shores as well...

Blue Knight,

Since you are in disbelief, here is a picture of the info card that the Spyker rep. gave me. I appologize for it being a little blurry.

Perhaps they, like many Europeans, recognize that 0-60 is a lame measure of performance for such a car and refused to screw everything else up to impress Americans still inexplicably hung up on the vestiges of the "muscle car" era even when evaluating a sports car.

Cool car, especially the 2500 lbs and except the wheels ( and chrome, and lights, and... OK, on second look, not so cool. :) )

Most dutch peeps love the car, i for one, think it doesn't look that good.

i guess that's a conservative time for 0-60mph. i'm sure if R&T took a testdrive, they'll give it a nice number.

i'm also not too fond of the looks..
