Unfortunately, Thursdays meeting will be delayed until March 25th. The plan was to have the results of the March 6th Autocross available and to also hand out trophies. Because of difficulties with actually finding out who placed where and working on making all of the 1000 plus runs count, the meeting will have to wait until next week. So sorry for this, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Everyones patience is appreciated, and thanks to all who attended the Autocross and all the help I received in putting th event on. It would have been an empty parking lot without you guys and gals there!
See you soon,
John, Tina and Shelby ;)

This works out better for my schedule, see you next week! Thanks

Aw...man...I was looking forward to our meeting tomorrow. Oh well, I guess I can wait another week to get my NSX-El Torito fix.

Greeting fellow NSX'ers,
The trophies will be given out tonight, with printed results. I will provide a webpage for viewing tommorrow for those who cannot make it. The other marques did quite well..........
See you there,
John

Here are the results: Top two times (one from the morning, one from the afternoon) were added to get the final scores.
Eric - Thanks for hosting and posting :D

Thanks for posting the results.
Congrats to the winners; Pulp Pilot, Greg S.
If I'm not mistaken, Bill (with the top time of the day) was
in the black Civic. He was tearing up the course, his inside rear
tires was 4 inches up in the air on the turns.
The wife took top honors in the Powder puff, I'm never
going to hear the end of it! She did keep saying that
she was the race car driver of the family! I'm just a poser.
That was Fun !

The other marques and drivers:
Hogan, Bill - Civic Very experienced autox'er
Weitze, Mikael - M3 Very experienced autox'er
Long, Lanny - C5 Convertable Very experienced autox'er
Babida, Peter - Integra TypeR
Tang, Mike - 350Z

A tenative Sept. autocross has been set up at Hollywood Park(Not sure if it is still going to be a parking lot or a <s>WhoreMart</s> Walmart)

A June autocross is in the works for Camarillo Airport. This one would be an arrive and drive, no frills event. You would bring your own lunch and chairs. Craig Kircher is setting up an autox committee and will post about it when I generate a new thread. The date is being worked out with the airport and will be posted shortly. NSX'ers will have priority sign ups and then it will be filled up with other marques.

How should I send out the trophies? I think mailing them would be cost prohibited.
Take care,
John ;)

That was actually Lanny's second auto-x ever. Good numbers
The public vote for Wal-Mart at Hollywood Park is April 6th.

Thanks again!

I wonder if we could get the top 10 in the touring division to list their car setups: suspension, tires, wheels, tire pressures, fuel loads, engine mods etc.???

With so many NSX's running we should be able to ramp the learning curve up pretty quickly if we all can communicate...

How about this format?

Name: David Blackman
Year/type: 92 coupe
Engine Mods: Comptech headers, exhaust, airbox, chip
Gearset Mods: upgraded differential on stock 5 speed
Suspension mods/settings: Comptech rear non-compliance bushings and toe bars, Zanardi rear sway bar
Brake mods: none
Tire type and size: Toyo T1S 215/40/17, 265/40/17
Tire pressure hot: front 33, rear 40
Fuel load for fastest run: apprx 1/4 tank

Hi everyone -

Bill Hogan here -

First let me thank you all for allowing me to participate in your event - I met some very nice people, and it gave me some much needed practice with my new set-up.

As much as I'd like to take credit for Top Time of Day honors, I don't think I can after reviewing the results. Instead I believe I should be ranked as 2nd behind Mikael Weitze in "O" class, and 5th fastest for the day. I believe there was an error in scoring or timing on one of my 2nd session runs, the one noted as 55.66+2.
Even with two cones, there is no way I could have put 15 seconds on the Pulp Racing guys without DNFing!

My time should be scored as 149.927, not 134.802.

Thanks again, and I look forward to running with you guys again in the near future.

Bill

Now that's class.:) I have a friend who thinks there's no way a Civic can hang with NSXs in Auto-X. I think he'll reconsider after seeing these times. Nice job Bill, stock motor and all.;)

BTW--I'm insanely envious of your exhaust!

Walmart Update

The NO side had Jesse Jackson working the crowd against Walmart today, the vote is tomorrow. Maybe even God wants us to keep using Hollywood Park for AutoX :)

What's in it for ol' Jesse? I don't see the motivation for him to lobby against a WalMart. It wouldn't hurt the community to have more jobs and income, would it?

NSX AUTO X DRIVERS WIN!

Exit polls in Inglewood are 65% no for Walmart. This may be the only time I say this, ever, Thank You Jesse Jackson.

I assume they will now go to the city and follow the normal procedures to have a tract map platted and approved by city planning. But the public hearings will be very difficult based on the vote. Not dead but on CPR :D
