Images problem

I have noticed that images do not show up when hitting the re-fresh button on my browser. This also happens when returning to a thread from a post. Maybe some kind of problem with the includes directory or something?

The images that do not show up are:
1. http://www.nsxprime.com/_borders/mdbanner3.gif
2. http://www.nsxprime.com/_borders/nsxplogo.gif
3. http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/nsxprimeforums.jpg
4. http://www.nsxprime.com/_borders/supportfrosty.gif
5. http://www.nsxprime.com/_borders/04jannavbar.gif
6&7. As well as the bottom ad banners.

I've noticed this happening sometimes, but only sporadically. I attribute it to a timing issue when response time is slow, with the browser displaying the web page before it has a chance to download all its components. If I refresh the page, everything usually shows up okay.

Another thing you can do is if you're looking at a web page and it's showing you a red X where the icon or picture is supposed to be, you can right mouse click on it, and select "Show Picture", and it should show up.

Hmm, I just got home, and I don't seem to have the same problem using my laptop. I dunno. At work using my desktop, the problem ocurred every time I refreshed, posted or edited an existing post.

You probably use an internet firewall like Norton Internet Security.
If so, you have to look at the options of the firewall.

Do you use a proxy server at work? I'm guessing it's either that, or problems with a software firewall. This kind of issue is difficult to diagnose without knowing the exact OS/hardware/software/router/ISP configuration on the problematic machine. Since you aren't experiencing the same problems on your laptop, I think it's safe to rule out any problems on this end (the web site).

Norton Internet

Gerard,

I just installed Norton Internet Security and what firwall settings should I change so I can see the images?

Thanks,
