Open forum link in new window?

Call me lazy .....
How about having the links for the different forums open in a new window, rather than replacing the main directory when you click it? (similar to the hyper links in posts that open in a new window)
Actually same could apply for the threads in any given forum - if they could also open in their own window, that would be great.
I don't know about everyone else that's how I navigate in 'Prime anyway - it would just be convenient to get there with single click (rather than right click; open in new window)
Can this be done with the vbulletin platform?

That is the way I navigate sometimes.

I usually do shift + left-click to open in a new window (works in IE, not sure what else).

Dayum - I didn't know that!

I've been doing it, when desired, by right clicking and selecting "open in new window".

I would not want a new window opening as a default, though.

That's a good tip, Ojas. Here are some others:

Besides the shift+left click, I use these two a lot:

ALT+d = focus on address bar
ctrl+ENTER = automatically puts the http://www. and .com before and after your URL

For example, click anywhere on this page, then press ALT+D. Then type "nsxprime" and press CTRL+ENTER. Voila..

OJAS, you rock! (just wanted to say that even though I already knew that tip :D )

Just reporting that shift-click trick works in with Opera too... so the 1% of users running Opera will be VERY happy to know that.

Did you know if you press WindowsKey+Pause keys, it will bring up System Properties. Not sure how that helps us on NSXprime, but it's a pretty cool party trick. ;) This shortcut does not work on a Mac. :p

Coolio, Ojas and Neo. Thanks for the useful info. ;)

I don't know about % of users, but here's a list of browsers hitting this site by % of page requests:

MS Internet Explorer 95.3 %
Mozilla 2.1 %
Safari 0.8 %
Netscape 0.7 %
Opera 0.5 %
Firebird 0.1 %
Unknown 0.1 %
Konqueror 0 %
WebTV browser 0 %
Galeon No 0 %
Others 0 %

(note the 0%s are rounded down; everything listed had at least several hundred page requests.)

Hmm, has Microsoft dominated web browsers? Maybe... Just maybe.

Cool. That Opera 0.5 % is probably me! :D

Too bad the PHOENIX browser isn't identified in that list... we'd all know who was using that... ;)
