Barnman in Nashville TN. just finished my SPEC clutch and the CTSC and some other things. Everything was perfect!

If anyone is needing service on their NSX I suggest you give Barney a call. He gives your car lots of TLC.

I'll try to explain it like this, I have only met 2-3 people in my life where I felt like I should pay them more than what they asked for, Barnman is one of them.

Can't wait for my next mod so I can make the trip again.

Thanks Barney.:D

Tony's going to be happy to hear that. ;) I think we need to talk Barney into moving to St. Louis. Not enough NSX's in Nashville. Oh, the Rams rule too. :D

I like the picture change in your profile Gene. Oh...the rams do rule along with the Cards too.;)

I have nothing but positive things to say about Barnman from my conversation with him. Great help to me and my piece of mind.

Barn is RAD and ironically I too felt that I owed him more than what he asked for. It is the first time in my life I felt I owed someone more than what I was paying. Barn came and asked for less than what we had agreed to. I paid him more than what we agreed to but he deserved even more than that. If I were a baller he would have gotten it too.

Thanks to Barn and others like him who really keep our cars up and running strong!

We need to start a "chip in for Barn's NSX" fund as he deserves one more than most of us. I will contribute liberally ;)

Anway. I can not wait to get my work done from him soon.

I'm in, let me know how to pay.

I'm blushing.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, I appreciate it.
Tony is on his way down from St. Louis this weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting him and taking care of his baby.
The shop I'm building is coming right along. The concrete is poured. It MAY be ready by fall. We'll see. Have a great week all, thanks again,
Barn Man...
P/S, I'm looking forward to seeing what becomes of the NSX fund! Sounds like a great idea to me! : )

Just a question, have you ever thought about setting up a FI branch for Gerry Johnsons set up or one of your own set ups? The Midwest to East Coast is sort of sparce in this area. And now that I hear you are building your own shop so-to-speak.

I have always felt that there are many people here on the forum who go out of their way to help with information that would cost us money to get elsewhere. Larry B comes to mind, as well as many others.

Wow! Makes me wish I still lived in Nashville. Wait a minute, It's not raining here.
Kidding

Why am I suddenly thinking of the Shawn Mullins song "Lullaby?":

"I told her I ain't so sure
about this place
it's hard to play a gig in this town
and keep a straight face
seems like everyone here's got a plan
it's kind of like nashville with a tan..."

:)

Nice one autophile! And those lyrics are pretty dead on.

I'm still thinking about what to do as far as forced induction goes. There are a few possibilities out there. I'm working on instlalling the BBSC's, I'm already putting on the CTSC's, and Gerry Johnson's kit is also a possibility. I like superchargers the most, (from a tech's standpoint). It's not that one is better than the other, I just personaly like the sc's better. PLEASE let's not start a battle of forced induction over this, it's been done a hundred times. Let's not go there.
Whatever I do, it will be proven, and reliable. I don't recomend or install anything that has the potential of causing harm to an engine. That's not what I'm about. I will turn down an install quickly if I don't feel good about the product or the reliability. There's nothing worse than having phone calls saying, " when can I have my car towed to your shop, the motor made this loud noise and oil is pouring out all over the ground." I have yet to get that call, and hopefully I never will. This doesn't make anyone involved very happy.

Barn Man....

Thanks for the info. That was exactly what I was hoping to hear. I just think it's great that we have a dedicated NSX guy located in our neck of the woods.

I'll chime in here too...Barney does great work at a very reasonable price.

He's the only one I'll allow (besides myself) to touch my NSX. He just installed a set of Racing Beat lowering springs and adjustable Koni's on a Miata I bought for my son, and he's going to install a set of Bilsteins on my NSX next weekend.

I highly recommend to anyone within a 6-8 hour drive of Nashville to make that drive to let Barney work on your car. He knows what he's doing.
