Oil change in south Chicago suburbs

I just called Rizza Acura in Orland park and was told an oil change is 75.00 plus tax , this sounds high for an oil change ,is there any recommendations for a place south of Chicago to get it done , thanks.

South of Chicago? No. But I agree, that does sound high.

I take my car to Woodfield Acura in Hoffman Estates, which is the leading servicer of NSXs in the Chicago area. They don't stock 10W30 synthetic so I can buy it myself (Mobil 1 is $23.33 for a six-pack at Sam's Club, about the same at Costco) and bring it with me, and just pay for the filter and labor. Don't forget to save the extra 3/4 quart and use it next time.

P.S. Any competent mechanic should be able to do an oil change on the NSX. There is nothing tricky or specific to the NSX about it.

If all you need is an oil change, I suggest you find a good independent mechanic close to home, buy some oil filters from one of the usual mail order discount places (don't forget the crush washers) and bring one with you. Also if you're using synthetic 10W30, check ahead of time if the mechanic stocks it, and otherwise bring that with you, too.

Oil Change

Bring it over to my house. I just changed my oil Saturday. One of the easiest changes I ever did on any car. You don't even have to crawl under the car! I live in Plainfield

Thanks for the offer , I just picked up a jug of mobile 1 ,filter and washer and will change it this weekend ,you just hand tighten the oil filter right? I tune up my fzr400 so I should be able to do this , I hope. Interesting while at the dealer I asked if there were any nsx brochures left and the salesman said there were no more because there will be a new nsx out next year , cant wait to see that on the road.
