It's a done deal. I Fed-Ex'd my check to dealer for down pmt today and I am the proud leasee of a new NSX. I read the FAQ's on shipping NSXs. I shipped a Lexus up from Florida 3 years ago and the hydraulics on the trailer failed and my LX470 came down on top of a new Land Cruiser setting underneath. It broke the windshield, sunroof and V'd in the roof of it. Many people have told me that shipping on a regular outside transport is okay, but my experience makes me nervous. What would you guys do if you were getting your new NSX shipped to you?? It's almost 800 miles away and I would not like to put that kind of mileage on immediately. The enclosed transports are very expensive in comparison to the outside ones. Any experience and opinions you might have would be helpful. Or, if you know of anyone coming from the Texas area to Colorado with a flatbed truck or trailer, let me know. Thanks.

Congrats. I chose to drive mine from Florida to Maryland after I bought it. I purchased it used and had a round trip plane ticket just in case the deal fell through.

If I were to have it shipped, I would have chosen Intercity due to reputation. But I figured it this way, even if I did have it shipped, I probably would have driven it 15 hours the day it arrived anyway so why not get all the driving out of my system.;)

Doc, I would buy a round trip ticket, throw the return portion away(cheaper then a one way) and enjoy meeting you new love one on one on the trip home. Welcome

Good point. Salesman has volunteered to drive it up for me!!! He'll have better luck playing pick up sticks with his butt cheeks than getting a chance to drive my new NSX!!!!!

I would spend a little extra for the enclosed transporter, and look for recommendations as well as rates in choosing a shipping company.

I can drive it up. Although, TX has a few tracks and I might be too weak to drive by one without taking a few laps. hehehe

You should just fly in on Southwest and take a looooong weekend

I am always of the mindset of "if you want it done right (and you can do it)...do it yourself"

few will care for your car as much as you.

If you can't drive it yourself, then you should ship it enclosed. JMO, but I've seen what some transporters can do to cars. They didn't treat my Insight or my Range Rover very nicely. My latest transporter scratched the wheels on my C43 AMG when I shipped it to a friend.

I vote for a drive. Trust me when I say it will be WAY more entertaining than flying.
