Header install question

When installing the headers, you're supposed to remove the donut shaped gasket from the exhaust manifold and put it into the header end. How do you get this gasket out? I've tried to pry it out and haven't had any luck.

Gobble, try using a flat head and a hammer, and at the edge of the circle gasket lightly wedge it in, then pry out.. Try doing that on all the edges. If that doesn't work i'm sure you can run down to your local exhaust muffler shop and they might have some laying around. Good Luck

I would not re-use an existing donut. These are intentionally "crushable" so as to form fit the application.
