oem oil cooler question

For all the nsx gurus out there, I have a few questions regarding the oem oil cooler:

1. Where does the oem engine oil cooler get the coolant from? Does the coolant come straight from the thermostat or from the engine?

2. Where does the oem tranny oil cooler (only A/T) get the coolant from?

The reason I ask is because I want to install a water-to-oil cooler on one of those coolant lines.

Thnx in advance.

Henry.

I looked in the manual and it looks like the engine oil cooler gets it water from the base of the rear bank of cylinders. and then returns to the water pump side of the thermostat. The ATF cooler is also in that loop.
