What Fix-a-Flat type products do you guys use. I am pulling the spare out and want to make sure that I have the best product possible in the event that I puncture one of my sneaks...

Thanks

I wouldn't personally use fix-a-flat on my NSX although I did use it on my riding lawnmower one time and it did work.

I think a better option is using a quality plug to temporarily get you back on the road, then get the tire repaired with a plug/patch. I've used them many times before and never had one fail. Just make sure your air compressor is working so you can fill the tire back up.

I would walk before I use that stuff. I had to clean it from a tire once to be able to rebalance the wheel  Not fun at all. I would carry my AAA card instead.

Well it seems to me that there must be a good product out there seeing as ho wmany manufacturers are eliminating spares in their high performance cars.

I believe the only cars that come without spares are the cars that have run-flat tires as standard. I remember when I frequented the corvette forums they were referred to as run-craps.;)

I have Honda Accord Tourer Executive 2004 (in the USA known as TL) without a spare tire. It standard has a repair set and an air compressor.

For the NSX I carry a plug repair set. And on several occasions it saved my day :)

BTW This plug repair set is standard equipment for my Duc. (a bit heavy to carry a spare tire):D

Does actual 'fix-a-flat' come with the MB or is it a 'fix-a-flat-type' product.

I had a interesting experience with fix-a-flat before. My motorcycle got a flat, and un-like cars, it's hard to change out the tire. So I used a can and all it did was fill the tire a bit and when I tried driving, the fix-a-flat product leaked from the punchure and caused it to get all over the place. And once that stuff is dryed, it's almost impossible to get off. :(

New Mazda RX8 does not have run flats. It comes standard with no spare, and just a can of mazda label fix-a-flat.

I know, its hard to believe.

Back when I was thinking I wasn't going to ever find an NSX, I took a look at the RX8s. Not too bad of a car, but when they said that for $32K the car didn't come with a spare, didn't have run-flats, and then showed me the tire kit with the can of fix-o-flat, I looked at the salesman and said "Your kidding right?"
