Tubi possible group buy...

Well I would be *interested*. I use the asterisks as I would need to know how much it would cost. I talked to Ramon at Niguel Motors, and he was telling me about the flowmaster exhaust (that he had on his last car) for $400 that sounds just like a tubi.

I AM IN...

How will the payment be arranged and who will distribute the exhaust? Everything goes through Mensi?

Randy

I had sent a "newer" stock OEM exhaust to Tubi in Italy over 6 months ago to adjust/redo their jig for future production runs and have alerted them to both the fitment issue as well as the tip cracking at the outer edge. I have not heard back with a confirmation that these two issues have been resolved. MENSI (our company) has nothing to do with Tubistyle any longer.

Thank you for your advice, Sancho ! Our main website is www.mensilift.com. The Tubi page was added last year as a courtesy to the NSX and C5 communities who were asking to hear the Tubi I could not keep drving my cars to various socal locations to satisfy all the requests I was recieving. In any case, it is now gone and I don't believe there is any other NSX/Tubi soundfile anywhere else.

Hi Tino
How are you?
Thanks for my Tubi I love it, have you heard the Fuchs exhaust.
Later Brian.

Brian, I did not know that Fuchs makes a muffler for the NSX. I've seen and heard their F360 exhaust (same as Cargraphic and Koenig) and it is well made and sounds pretty good. I am glad you still like the Tubi, I still do despite its quirks !

They don't make one for the Nsx yet, I was thinking you could work your magic and get them to make a few. :D
I know of 6 people who would buy it.
Later Brian.

Hi

There is this from my car

Then I also have this which is with a Tubi, but not my car.

Then there is this webpage which has a few soundclips. The picture of the NSX with Tubi is mine (before I bought it), but the soundclip is not my car.

I am very fond of my Tubi :)

Regards

Martin, thanks I have been trying to find that web site. Does your car sound like the sound clip?I love it as it sounds like a Ferrari!

I will be fond of my if the GB pulls through and the fitment issue fixed. Alan M, haven't heard back since you make the initial post, anything new these couple of days?

I am very fond of my Tubi :)

Hi

Yes I guess it sounds like that when I pass others. I have not heard it myself because I never let anyone drive my NSX when I am not in it.

The soundclip I made was with a Canon Powershot S40 which I jsut put behind the car and rev'ed the car a little.

The sound is great. The "gurgle" is great when it falls down to idle.

Do a search here on Tubi gurgle and you will find some threads that discuss that.

Regards

If Tito feels the fit issues have been solved, I'm in also.

What is the tip cracking issue and will it happen to all? Can it be prevented?

this is the first mention I have heard of this, and I was in on the first group buy ages ago (not really, but it seems a long time ago).

My tips are great:D

They are a bit dirtier now, and they are not perfectly straight or exact side to side, but once you hear the song they sing, you just do not care!!!!!!!!

Doc, you've got great looking tips :D :D :D And yes I want Tubi!!

Does the Tubi resonate in the cabin at all?

Not like my Dream28:eek:

It is my experience that the NSX resonates with any exhaust around 3000 rpm, or at least that is when it seems loudest in the cabin. That being said, it does not drum like some exhausts. It can be difficult to have a conversation on a cell phone between the exhaust and the K&N cone filter at speeds above 55mph. HTH.

The Anytime Racing exhaust does not have any of those problems. No resonating, no droning. It is, IMO, perfect. If only the 2002 rear fit :(

TUBI replys looking good...I have sent Tubi an e-mail regarding our intetntions of a group burchase and am awaiting there responce...hopefully sooon...:)
