River Run caravan

For those of us outside of NJ, is anyone interested in meeting up along with way to head down to the River Run on Saturday? Depending upon how many we have, we can arrange various meeting points if necessary.

If the caravan will be taking 287 South, maybe we can meet at the shoulder past exit 22 (Bedminster - my exit) and just before the exit for route 78 - I am literally minutes from there.

My house to Don's should be about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes that time of day going a leisurely pace.

Guys,

Probably best to take the TZ over and meet at the 87s/287s intersection. It is a direct shot across the top of NJ, the directly south on 287.

Also if you are coming from Bronx/Queens, might be best to take GWB to 80 east to 287 south. Bailey, you have a club radio right?? I also think that Jerry Ferdinand is going too.

I know of a few places to meet if we decide on this.

The TZ was my guess also since that would be the most direct route for me. Roger and I can meet up fairly easily on this side of the bridge which will leave Bailey either going out of his way slightly to come north or taking the GWB and meeting up with us in NJ.

Bailey, let me know what you want to do.

I will be more then happy to come up north to meet up with you guys for the trek down. The roads will be better and it will be more fun goin down in a caravan then me tryin to figure out directions while I drive there by myself. Just name the place n time.

Thanks for offering to come up to us, Bailey. Does anyone have a feel for how long it would take to get down to DG's house from the TZ Bridge? This way we could coordinate picking up Gene and Larry B along the route without getting delayed.

What is your definition of 'earlybirds'?

My intial thought is that we would be there about 8:20am with the goal of getting to Don Gallo's at 9am. I don't want to pass up the morning treats that he will have for us prior to the 10am drive.

Larry and I will wait for Miled to arrive at my house prior to heading out. I have already suggested that Miled try to get to my place by 7:45

Larry B will be posting info regarding a meeting point to get him at the Sheraton parking lot at the 287/87 exit at about 7:30. Just in case we get construction traffic, we should leave the white plains area by about 6:45 and then pick up others along the way after we get Larry.

p.s. are both of you going solo? Larry B might need an empty seat for the trip down
