... and lowering the price this week for the tranny, clutch, and parts to $4195 plus shipping if applicable. If your thinking of moving up to a 6 spd PM and lets make a deal. It is out of the car, in great shape, and ready to be adopted so lets find it a new home.

Does the 6-speed transmission mount up to the engine/chassis on pre-6speed production models?

Structually it sure does. The same 6 bolts and engine mount. I can additionally offer some discounted parts and services to make a 5/6 conversion even easier if need be.

BTW- Here are some pics. Very clean and well maintained with low mileage using only redline oil.

5 spedd to 6 speed

There is a kit to make the change over. I think I saw it on Scirnce of Speed or Dali Racing.

Does anyone know how intense the change over is? How many hours?

this may help you out:
6 speed conversion kit

just figured I'd help you out

basically, the conversion is just like a clutch change.. maybe a little more..

while you are at it, you might consider replacing brake slave cylinder.

That's for using the old 5-spd style clutch with the 6-spd, so not relevant to this offering.

It comes with a clutch, but there is a bit more to it. The main conversion part besides clutch options is the reverse gear lock-out. It is not mentioned in this listing but can be had from CT and possibly elsewhere.
