Hello Euro comrades, I'm just curious about fuel prices for you all. Since January, the average fuel cost in the US has increased by 75 to 100% (USD/gallon), depending on the region. Has there been a corresponding increase in Europe?

Here in Holland we are up to 1.31 Euro the cheapest stuff, about USD 6.20 a gallon(US).
I think the 97~98 goes for 1.36 Euro, is about USD 6.45

wtf????

10.50 SEK/l

that is about 5.25 USD/gallon

1.45 to 1.55 Swiss Francs / Liter ~ 1 € here in Switzerland
4,50 - 4.65 USD/Gallon

Wow. So, how do those prices compare to what it was 6 mos ago?

Spoiled Americans (myself included) complain about a $40 USD fillup. In NL, according to DutchBlack, that would be about $90-$100 US!!

Hi

Here in Narvik Norway we have a fuel war at the moment. So I pay from 8.81NOK which is $1.27 to 10.50NOK=$1.51 per liter.

I pumped 53.41 liters yesterday and that is $68

In Switzerland the increase has been of 9-12% in the last 6 months...

We have seen premium rise from US$1.55 to US$2.08 in the last six months:eek: >33% increase!

here in the UK prices are currently 80-85p per litre for regular (RON95) unleaded and 85-90p per litre for Super unleaded (RON98). obviously I use super for the NSX, my local filling station is currently 86.9p per litre, which is £3.29 per US gallon - equivalent to $5.88 per US gallon

how much are you guys paying again?

I filled up the other day from empty and paid £52 - thats $93

incidentally, you do need to take care when comparing costs of US units to UK ones since many units with the same names are actually different in volume

e.g.

a UK pint is 0.568 litres whilst a US pint is only 0.473
a UK quart is 1.137 litres whilst a US quart is only 0.946
a UK gallon is 4.546 litres whilst a US gallon is only 3.785

at least litres are the same everywhere!
