In the SF Bay Area prices look like:
Reg: $2.58
Plus: $2.68
Prem: $2.78

And the average price in the US is $2.02?
Does that mean that somewhere out there people are paying $1.60?

What's the speculation as to when this will drop back to normal? I really hope that this isn't going to remain this way for too long.

I would guess late this year if ever:eek:

$2.19/gal in TN for premium

It was $1.99 a couple weeks ago (last time I filled up).

Im seeing cars moving a bit slower than about 1-2 months ago!! Not as many lead-foots! People arent gunning it off the line as much either.

Amen!! So glad I own a Honda!! Never been more proud to own a V-6!!!

There are advantages of living in the Midwest - Tulsa, OK where I live is typically the cheapest spot in the US for gas. $1.89 reg unleaded now and that's a new peak for us. Typically we are often 20-30% cheaper than the coasts. ChopsJazz, I know from my prior work in the energy industry that Cali has different formulations that drive the price up significantly for you. If you feel bad, look at the cost in Europe now and you'll feel much better. :D

2.55 per gallon premium, I guess it's the cheapest in Seattle Area... :(

Well, the gas price went up, track day HPDE admission price went up, tire price went up too... Cops all over everywhere and sneakier than ever... All the sudden it's getting harder and harder to enjoy driving my nsx...

Could be worse .. you could live in Canada where it was $0.999 per litre in Vancouver on Thurs which if you convert to US gallons and adjust for the fact that $0.73US = $1 Cdn, the price we're paying is about $2.63 US .. for regular unleaded!!

This article indicates that crude oil production will increase *if* the market demands it. Translation - prices will probably stay where they are - or continue to increase as the trend has been. The increase in production will only go to meet the higher summertime demand. There is a chance that prices will come down with the increased production, but its a slim chance. Prices won't start to come down until after the summer - when election time comes near.

Anybody bought a gallon of bottled water lately?
We're talking water people - the stuff that comes out of your faucet for free!
Think about it ...... makes gas a positive bargain relatively!!!

You are right Ken!

What also makes me put into perspective the price of gas is the HUGE smile on my face that driving the NSX donates me!

Whatever the 4$ or 4,5$ per gallon I pay... :p
