Replacing syncrhonizer springs

I noticed that the synchronizer springs in my gearbox, show some sign of usage, wow, you can see that the synchro sleeves have been over them. (about 100.000 miles)

Now, since the syncro sleeve only touches them on one side, would it be wise to turn them around, so the 'fresh' side will be used again? Or just replace them with new ones? Or maybe, leave it as it is, they where not a problem at all, i'm in the gearbox for different reasons.

Any thoguhts?

Please do not try to reuse the old sinchro, with all honda engines they tend to rock (schotelen in dutch). This means it is slightly crooked and therefore the friction is to low to correctly synchronize.Turning them around wont help this .....

Use new synchro and polish it by using valve grinding paste for optimal friction (clean thourougly when done).

Thankx Cees-Jan for the reply.

Good to see yah here.

Anyway, i wasn't going on about the synchro's themselfs, they are oke, (well, i have no intention to replace them at this time, i have no synchro problems at all), but more about the synchro-springs.

Mmm...no,

Not trying to repair anything, just trying to do preventive maintenance.
