I just bought my first NSX and I am very excited about it. I was wonderng where a can get a good deal on performance parts (Cold Air Intake, Turbo, ECT.) and what would be the best brand?

i'd assume the easy start point might be: science of speed (www.scienceofspeed.com) that and nsxprime's parts for sale section is not too shabby....

I would suggest that you first live with the car for six months, and decide for yourself what you like and what you'd like to change. It might not be the same thing you would guess right now.

I would also suggest you do research on NSXprime, in the FAQ area as well as a search on previous topics. It will save you a lot of time.

if you are looking to go fast, scaryfast give mike or ken a call at factor x, i did, and i cant get this stupid grin of my face since i got it back.its at the body shop now. in a way im happy, my face was starting to hurt.

Too bad there isn't someplace like Factory X out here nearer to my location (MD). I was thinking in a year or so I might look into to a couple of upgrades, but I wanted to find a good shop that was local that could maintain it as well.

Isnt that the truth.

I would take nxtasy advice. Drive the car for a while and before you jump into anything do your homework here.
There is a ton of great info on nsxprime.
ENJOY

There is. It's called Davis Acura and it's in Langhorne, PA, on the other side of Philly from you. They can do everything from stock work to track prepping. Their NSX tech, Bernie, is the best in the Northeast.

word.

I was thinking about getting a comptech SC in the year or two, mainly because it seems like it's the easiest to get service for and maybe the safest form of FI if it's tuned right. The other higher HP options are nice (drool), but I would need a place like Factory X that was -local- (like within 50 miles or so) to keep it in tip top shape, or be right there when it grenades. If it was too far away just seems like pain to get the car towed/shipped up everytime it needs service. I think a comptech car would be reasonably fast for my needs anyway.

Actually, I got my comptech installed at Tischer in Laurel. They did a good job, communicated with comptech, and kept me posted while the car was there. So far, follow up has been great. They also:
upgraded fuel pump,
boost gauge,
added ARC airbox,
iridium spark plugs,
aftermarket coolant tank.

All without a hitch. What a nice suprise. The reps name is Brandon.
