Are the wrong size tires a problem

I'm looking at some 94+ wheels for my 92 that have the wrong size tires on them. The front is a 205 55 16 (s/b 215 45 16) and the rear is 255 40 17 (s/b 245 40 17). Will this cause a problem. Would I have to replace the tires or could I run them down?

The TCS WILL NOT work with those tire sizes. The outer diameter of the front is 7.8 percent larger than stock, while the rear is 0.7 percent larger than stock. That changes the front-to-rear ratio by about 7 percent, which is way too much.

Turn off TCS and burn off the tires. Then order the right size tires from FAQ.
