I am looking to buy a 1991 NSX in the Auburn, Mass area. If you live near there, drop me a line and I can give specifics. It is a canadian VIN. Are there problems with this (other than the KmPH speedo)? I know all about the issues with tranny, water pumps, and windows to check with. Any other insight would be great for questioning ammunition.

I think that area might be more recognizable if you refer to it as the Worcester, Mass. area. (It's like the difference between referring to the Suffolk, Virginia area vs the Norfolk-Newport News, Virginia area; most folks know where one is, but few have heard of the other.)

The slight differences between the Canadian market and U.S. market versions are listed in the FAQ here. Warranty coverage might be a concern for a newer model, but not for a '91.

How do you know about Suffolk? The best guess would be Navy?

No, my handy road atlas.

Hi, Andrew,

I checked out the car extensively since I almost bought the car, and it's in a good shape except for the passenger side window and center dash board panels.
Everything has been replaced in US spec.

If you have more questions, let me know.

Hi Tiger740,

You said that you had checked out this Canadian NSX. When you say that everything is changed to US Spec, does that include the odometer and speedometer gauges (from km/kph to mi./mph)? If so, does the car still reflect a clean and "perfect" title? I'm looking to buy an NSX in Canada (but I live in Houston, TX) and am wondering about the certain implications of such a transaction. I have been informed that changing the odometer would tag the car as a "True Mileage Unknown" vehicle, thus affecting it's resale and market value. Your help would be graciously appreciate. Thanks!!
