18 inch rear tires grabby?

Hello
1. I have 275/35/18 in the rear. At 80-90mph the rear tires feels grabby. Tendency to pull. I know wider tire patch has a tendency to pull. Do I ignore this and keep driving hard or let up? I feel more confident at 80-90mph w/my SC400 with 225/40/18 no pull.

2. May be tire pressure does play a role and sway bar adjustment would also do the the trick (have dali bar, set at recommended position). Rear tire pressure 32#. Front tires 28#.
Input appreciated

Dan

Have you had an alignment recently?

I suffered from this as well... turned out my toe on the rear was hosed up ... the car was constantly drifting/grabbing and cruising speeds... with a supercharger and acceleration forget about it, my rear end was swaying everywhere.

Got an alignment, now she's straight as an arrow and a lot more enjoyable to drive.

I guess Pep Boys alignment doesn't cut it. I will have it alignment at a Professional/specialty high end car shop after mounting new tires in the rear. Need new one. Thank you Bonez

Well, I wouldn't go far to say that it doesn't cut it.

Provided their equipment was functioning properly there really shouldn't be an issue.

However even a semi-tight bolt can shift when coming in contact with a pothole or bump, in turn affecting your alignment.

Another factor that may cause unhappy driving is a bent rim. On today's roadways potholes are a nightmare, and I have sustained 3 bent rims in the last 3 years all of which affect the feel of the vehicle.

I would suggest taking it to a dealer or shop that has experience aligning the NSX. The procedure is not exactly the same as the alignment procedure for other cars.

I noticed you are in Oxnard. If you don't mind the drive down to the city, Stokes Tire in Santa Monica will do a great job. They do a lot of track cars and know their stuff.
They have a Hunter machine (or similar) that will lift the car up with you in it. It's track oriented and a lof of local club racers go there for alignment. They do a number of NSXs that I know of including mine.
The guys doing the alignment are also into tracking their cars and will align the car to your specs. $110 is a small price to pay for these guys. Highly recommended.
It's always packed with P-turbos and Z06s when I come down.

They'll also corner balance if you have adjustable suspension and can do that.
