Volk TE37's

I just saw some VolkTE37's for sale in the following sizes: 17x7.5 +40 and 18 x 9.5 +40 with 215/40-17 and 255/35-18 tires.
The rear tires are a slight bit small for the wheel width aren't they?

Does anyone out there have a similar set-up and if so how do you like it? I believe the NSX FAQ states that the tire width should be in the following range: width x 25.4 x 1.1 (for the lower range) and x 1.3 (for the upper range) and NSX recommends tires that are nearer the lower range than the upper range.

I am quite interested in these wheels and tires but am not sure about the fitment and whether the rear wheel width is too large for the tire. Based upon the fitment formula stated above the rears should be in the 265-275 range. Agree?

Thank you.

255 is definitely on the small side for a 18 x 9.5 but I guess it's still possible to run on them. What kind of tires come along with the rims?

Bridgestone S-03 with about 1500 miles.

What size do not recommend for fit and still be within NSX tolerances?
