also are they considered a light wheel?

any help would be greatly appreciated before monday..
thanks stuart

Hello Dude: I'm the importer for OZ in Panama, Central America. The pics that they sent you were sent by me to them. I took them off an NSX Prime post.

The version of the SL that has ribbets is their new version that comes in 3pc, and it is only 18 or 19 inch.

The SL is a wheel meant to be owned by a person that wants to have the best of both worlds, Nice construction wheel and lightwheight.

For example the 17 wheel is 16pounds
and the 18 inch is 17 pounds.

If you really like these wheels, I will really suggest you to go with the 18/19 inch combo. They will look awesome.

Email OZ of America and ask them to send you the pics of the 360 silver modena that had those rims at the 2001 Sema Show, after that you will fall in love with them.

I went from a 28lb rear rim to a 19lb rear, and from 22lb fronts to 15lb fronts.

The cars feel is night and day. I like the Superleggeras very much.

265/35/18 tires on back, 215/40/17 on front. Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions. (which also are fantastic tires)

sometimes i guess the picture makes all the difference yours look nice. is the wheel more grey or silver? is the lip polished? also is the wheel with the rivets and lip heavier and more expensive
i'm really on the wall on this one:-{

They do come in:

15x7
16x7
17x7
17x8
18x7
18x8
18x9
19x8
19x8.5

SL 3pc
18x8
18x8.5
18x10
18x10.5
18x11
18x11.5
18x12
18x12.5
18x13
19x8.0
19x8.5
19x9.0
19x9.5
19x10
19x10.5
19x11
19x11.5
19x12
19x12.5
19.13

Smoore:First of all, there is no lip on the wheel, therefore the lip can not be polished.
The wheels are a tiny bit lighter gray that what is shown on the pictures.

I thought that I answered all your questions.
The 3pc is only a fraction heavier than the SL 1piece.

The ones on the black car are: Superleggera 1pc.

The ones with the polished lip and ribbets are: Superleggera 3pc modular.

BoneZ,

Those pics look good. The first two shots look like they were taken along the Embarcadero in San Diego. Did you drive the car down from NoCal?

To answer yer questions.

Yes they are more grey as opposed to silver.

No these are not the 3 piece, these are the standard USA issue 17x8 (15.6lbs), and 18x9 (19.4lbs) rims.

The front offset is 48mm
The rear offset is 35mm

Yes, big brakes fit under them, as the rims flare outward slightly, for larger roters/calipers.

No, the standard USA issue does not come in any other sizes.

What you see is all they make in the USA currently, the 3 piece are not available at the time I called OZ.

Yes, the first 2 pictures were taken in San Diego along the strip near the Naval bases.

Yes I drove it down, to visit Alex V. and Factor X for a project im working on.

Hope I got all the questions

As far as my personal feeling... I love the rims. Im thinking of purchasing a second set, and having them polished or chromed for "shows", and using these for track/racing events.

I was torn, I shopped for 3 months to find rims I wanted, that fit my weight and apperance criteria. The Superleggeras met them and I couldn't be happier.

One thing I want to note, is its very common to have entire rims be dipped in, or protruded outward. OZ took a smarter approach and kept the rim itself symetrical and dipped the center hub in instead, this gives the appearance that both rims "look" the same front and back even though the offsets are so different. This is one of those things you can't get an answer to when buying a rim ahead of time, but just have to see them first hand. Needless to say I was happy they did it properly....

I hate seeing front rims be flush with the body, while rear rims have the "deep dish" look ... it makes the car look off balance. The Superleggeras are not this way, they are flush both front and back.

Aren't the wheels made like that because they are 1-piece? I've never seen a deep dish 1-piece wheel unless it had a reverse offset. ICBW though, and I'm only going on what I've seen and have experienced.
