I just learned from Science of Speed that getting Comptech straight pipes to accompany the headers and exhaust on my Zanardi will make the car run improperly. I was aware of loosing some low end torque, and had read of a few people with some fumes @ idle, but there would be an emissions issue (other than environmental damage)? What I really want to accomplish is a more raspy and aggresive sounding exhaust...any advice?

If you want a notably louder and raspier exhaust note, then I recommend just doing headers, keeping your cats so the ECU doesn't have a fit, and getting a JGTC parallel exit exhaust...plenty of rasp and volume in a nice, tuned racey sound.
