well, someone posted here wanting to know what a basch supercharged runs in the quarter. we'll be finding out tommorow as we're taking it and my stock 91 nsx to the track. lets here some of your best guestimates for both cars. i will say this though, i think you guys will be shocked.

Exactly what is on your stock 91 NSX and on the Basch supercharged NSX? I have a 92 with Comptech exhaust, Junn lightweight flywheel, Japanese short-gears, performance clutch and K&N intake and running on stock 15/16 rims and turned 13.6's at 103+mph. It was done at Sacramento Raceway with a temperature in the high 70's to low 80's. Many people have told me that that track is slower than the one at Sears Point Raceway so I will have to do some research to find out if that is true or not. I wouldn't be surprised if it was true as there was a 2002 Corvette Z06 with a cold air intake and exhaust claiming to have 430 horsepower and only running in the mid 13's at 108 mph consistantly. Either he is a bad driver or the track is slow. Would love to find out what other NSX's are running.

Allen are you going to have a professional neutral party run each car(that can run 3-5 passes within hundreths of second consistantly) or will it be 2 different drivers,if the latter is true the #'s will not in most cases give you a real #'s.Other wise you might as well compare an apple to an orange.Consistancy is key and eliminating driver variables and error are absolutly crucial.
Note ..I am speaking from personal experience after many years of drag racing.

its not the et's im really interested in, it will be mph, and there wont be that much variabble there. i have some experience in the drag racing department and i think we'll do o.k.

I know guys w/ mustang GT's that Ive beaten w/ a v-6 Mustang.
For instance you would need to put my fiance in a Lambo to beat me in the 1/4 mile against MYNSX with all the driver error involved.Granted this is an extreme example but thats my point.

IF I CAN BEAT YOU IN YOUR NSX CAN I HAVE YOUR CAR??

IM NOT SURE WHY WOULD YOU FEEL THE MPH CARRIES SUCH WEIGHT??

MPH is what determines the winner in a street race. one car can go 12.00 @110 and anothe 13.50 @ 115 and the 13.50 car is going to walk away from the 12.00 car on a roll. 99% of all races on the street are from a roll. et is very driver oriented, mph is power.
You would never have enough time to get all th internals on your motor done, you know how busy mark is. Youd lose by technical default as id be at the track waiting for you, and your car would still be in the shop!

MYNSX, I've seen several threads over the last few days where you make several posts back-to-back, excessive (obnoxious) caps-lock, and talk in fairly non-productive, antagonistic ways.

Please, try to show a little respect for the board and the fellow members of our NSX community.

Allen and MYNSX, aren't you guys close friends?

So he uses cap lock. Big Deal!!! I hate spelling problems but I don't post about it. Let's encourage, not discourage people to post with our superior attitudes. Allen, post those times. Thanks!!0

In reference to not having the time that is not true there are 2 more sources I have at back-up .Specifically for the NSX.It is the mechanics for Adam Saruwatari's car he's all of but a mile away.They have all of those parts in stock.

I hope you know THIS MEANS WAR!!

Thank you !!

ok, well its done. Ive got the drag times. first off i will say this, this thread is in no way meant to put the basch supercharger kit down. i believe it is a very good product which is constantly being evolved and upgraded. I was rather shocked with these results as i thought theyd be faster. one reason for the slowness was the high heat, over 100 degrees. our first runs:
me = 14.209 @ 99.6 basch car 14.203@ 105.35
me = 14.261 @ 100.37 basch 13.739 @ 104.45
me = 14.217 @ 100.13 basch 13.866 @ 105.79
and our best runs:
me = 14.036 @ 100.82 basch 13.598 @ 106.63.
as i said my car is stock, running test pipes and an air filter, it is a 91, the basch car is a 91, with headers,exhaust and supercharger. Mark will be changing the fuel system on this car and that should wake it up substantially. Id say high 12's low 13's @ about 110 will certainly be possible. i dont know about you, but to me thats pretty damn fast! hope this helps.
