I have a '92 nsx, my driver side window go down slower than the passager side. Is this a common problem? By the way is there a way to fix it. Thanks

hey, read the post by me, new window regulator--thats what you'll be buying if you dont install the dali window fixit thingie. just ask me about this problem----install the dali right now and do NOT use your window until you do.

slow windows arent the fixit thingies, your windows need lubracating. check the service manual thats posted on nsxprime somewhere for instructions on how to do that. while you're doing that though, it probably would be a good time to do the fixit thingies.

Yes, but I agree with Rob. If you're not sure, I would have a set of the fix-it thingies on hand when you lube the windows, and install them if they haven't been done before.

i took both tracks out in both doors and got rid of the old nasty sticky gray grease cleaned them and re-greased them and put everything back together but yet still seem slow even though they are slightly faster still very slow
not to mention it took most of my night

"...slow windows arent the fixit thingies, your windows need lubracating..."

This is correct.

BUT...

Gummed-up lubricant puts more force on the tabs that hold the cable block, and then they can and will break.

The original design was marginal and over time, dirt, crud and gummy lube causes the window to move more tightly in the track. The motor works harder to move the window and pulls harder on the cable.....CRACK!

As a recap, here's what to do.

1) DON'T OPERATE THE WINDOW.

2) Disassemble and clean out the tracks, joints etc. Relubricate.

3) Replace the old white plastic block with the Dali "Thingies".

Thanks guys, I just ordered the fix a thingie from dali racing. BTW should I install it myself or take it to the dealer for them to install it?

You can do it either way. It depends on how confident you are in your mechanical abilities (as well as whether you have the time and tools, etc). Feel free to take a look at the instructions, which are downloadable on Dali's website, before deciding.

I just read the August issue of Road & Track.
There's an NSX owner survey article in this issue that offers the +'s and -'s as noted by owners. One of the minuses is the window motor problem. Check it out. There's some interesting stuff in the article including NSX owners topping the charts on "would buy another." Larry T
