I posted a month ago on what a low mieage 95 should be selling for and I thank all who responded. Alas, the dealer wouldn't budge so no sale. However, a 12K mile yellow 97 has appeared and I wanted to know from the experts what is the proper negotiating price range. Thanks.

97 with 12k miles should be in the range of
50k - 55k.

I paid $56,150.00US for my 97-T with 26,000 miles. I'm in Canada the Spa Yellow is a very rare color, there were only a handfull ever imported here in 97.

Lately the '97 has been selling in the range of $52-56K in the States, assuming excellent condition, average mileage (26K is average for a '97), clean title and history, manual transmission.

Such a car with 12K miles is probably worth slightly more than that range due to the low mileage. I would figure somewhere in the range of $55-59K.

I think you got a very good deal (and I suspect you saw quite a few more expensive cars before you found that one). Asking prices on '99 cars typically start at $64K and go up from there, and you can typically negotiate $3-5K off the asking price.
