Can someone please post pics of the knob? Also, feel free to add anything from your experiences. Thank you!

This one is from the Science of Speed website, where you can purchase it:

(I'm assuming you're asking about the one for the manual transmission. There's also one for the automatic.)

I do not have picture because I just bought it 12 days ago and love the metal finish!!

I was however surprised that it was smaller than I expected, it is almost like an s2000 shift knob only "longer.

I also have the Zanardi NSX shift knob which I think is a perfect size and shape, a little more in price but you will be using it every time you drive right!!

is this knob really make the shifts feel shorter? mine came with it, and havent really driven one on the stock shifter...I have a Momo knob I would put on, but want to keep this short "feel"...?

Thank you for the picture!
What does it look like on the part where it screws in? any more pics with the boot a little down? thanks again!

The bottom of the knob actually has a very large opening so there is a very thin edge. The Zanardi knob has a lip at the bottom. The Gruppe M knob looks like it was just cut straight across.

I'd love to see some pics of the Zanardi knob. I think I am in the same boat - I love love the look of the GM, but am concerned about how it fits on the stock boot.

I assume the only place to get a Zanardi knob is from the dealer. Does anyone have a ballpark on what those things run and what the best place (if any) to get them online is?

Oh, FAQ. Sorry.

It looks like you have to replace the shift boot/plate to get the Zanardi knob, correct? Has anyone successfully removed the 6spd logo in favor of a 5spd on the Zanardi (I have a 94).

Those RM shifters look pretty sporty too, but after e-mailing them - they are no longer selling titanium ones that I like.

Here is a picture of my Zanardi. Not crazy about metal knobs, but it has grown on me as far as the better feel over shock aborbing material covered knobs. The shape is spot on, as I tend to grab it from the left side as well as right and top. I would be interested in checking out a Type-R ball type knob, next best thing to sticking your hand into the tranny?

Thank you Markbert, that was an excellent reply as it answers many of my questions! I think the GruppeM looks to be the best so far. I have a titanium S2000 knob that my friend gave me and i think it looks like the Type/R Ersatz on that picture! what to do.....
