I noticed in the 9/02 Road & Track the mention of Honda's 3.5 liter NA 500+ bhp engine used in the factory backed cars.(Pg.43 Honda NSX-R article) We know Honda can build a motor. Also note the GT cars weight of 2440 lb. before penalty weight. Awesome. Hey SOS Chris, You have some more weight reduction to do!

Maybe SOS or Dali will start shipping these motors in from Japan. Wouldn't that be a treat if you could afford it.
 
Um, the GT500 NSX Race cars cost at least $1 Million each for each team, so you can guess how much the motors cost(if they would even sell to outsiders). The motors are also built with mounting points for the NSX-GT Chassis which is a lot different than the production NSX chassis. While it would be nice to have all that 500+ NA power, it would be totally unstreetable.
