Iridium Spark plugs - any benefit?

I did a search on "Iridium" and 7 topics came up. Seems that most people feel stock was as good or better for the NSX.

yeah searched after I posted myself - figured the nazi would be after me (yeah, I know, shoulda done it first

didn't really see too much conclusive however, andrie posted over 6 months ago.
Just wonder if there's any new updates from anyone

I put Denso Iridium plugs in earlier this year and did not notice any difference. I got them because they were going for the same price as the OEM plugs. But them my car is mostly stock...Denso claims large HP gain on highpower turbo cars...

From what I can tell: platinum-tipped electrodes last longer than copper-tipped electrodes and iridium-tipped electrodes last longer than platinum-tipped electrodes.

I believe that is the major, if not only, benefit between platinum-tipped vs copper-tipped. Personally, because I make it a habit to change my spark plugs frequently (spark plugs are the poor man's window into the engine!), I prefer copper plugs. Copper is a better conductor than platinum so they are supposedly better for sports cars.

Michael.
