Power is provided by a 3.2-liter V6 producing 290 horsepower. This alone sounds impressive, but because it’s one of Honda/Acura’s VTEC motors it’s even better. The system adjusts valve timing to give good low-end power, and then as the revs climb, the VTEC shifts over to a much more aggressive profile, giving a huge lung towards the redline with a piercing wail. It’s fantastic and addictive, and as you snick through the 6-speed manual, if you had enough room, Acura says you’d hit 175 mph before you ran out of juice.
(A quick note. If you opt for the automatic transmission, you will get a 3.0-liter version of the engine producing 252 horsepower.)
