looking close at the rock chips on my hood, i notice the layer of paint is EXTREMELY thin. about the thickness of a sheet of paper (maybe thinner). is this because the paint has worn off over the years(it's a 91) or is this typical of sebring silver nsx's. my previous nsx was red and had a much thicker coat.

Is it possible it just looks thinner, because the silver has a clear coat, and the clear coat on the red is tinted?

Just a thought...

AFAIK, all color NSXs go through the same 27-step paint process, with the only difference among colors being the tint in the clear coat of the red.
