One more for the crash and burn section

LMAO. "NEVER DRIVEN IN THE RAIN."
Is this supposed to be a selling feature after what it's been through. Don't get me wrong. I do feel bad for what has happened to this guy's NSX, but come on.

Like that matters after having the car torched by an arsonist. The fire department probably sprayed more water on it putting out the fire than a lifetime of car washes.

I wonder if it would qualify for never being smoked in?

I need a silver hood and wonder if this one would be a perfect fit or if handmade means each car fits slightly different?
Bonus is, it is in Canada.
It rarely rains in BC in the summer and it is possible it was never driven in the rain.
It has been washed with a firehose.

If the price wasn't so high, I might be interested in the front clip, both top and bottom portions. But this might be a decent investment for someone willing to part out the remaining pieces...

The $5000 starting bid is insane. There is almost nothing of value left. All you get is a front subframe from the A-pillars forward and maybe a couple body panels.

Everything structural behind the A-pillars is trashed. The interior is trashed from smoke damage - you can see how dull and discolored all the interior surfaces are.

It is interesting to see how the aluminum all melted away and left the steel parts intact though...

If someone can get the VIN I'll add it to the list... I wonder if these cars are being destroyed faster than new ones are being sold. Hmmm.

Oh, but that's not true! The listing says, "REAR MAGS, MOTOR & EXAUST SYSTEM STILL IN OK CONDITION." And we all believe everything we see on eBay, right?

That is so sad, I would never leave my NSX parked outside unattended (even with a car cover on!).

You should try it some time. I have left my NSX unattended many times (it is now my everyday driver) and have never had a problem.

Also - think of all the fun you are missing!

BTW - Phoenix is one of the safest downtowns I have ever been in! Have been there several times for business. One time we were parking for the basketball game in a lot - completely dark. There was an attractive young girl taking all the cash all by herself. You would NEVER see that in St. Louis!

Granted, it may be safer than St. Louis.. However, the first week we moved into our new office building, someone tried to steal my coworker's car--an old crown vic--resulting in $5k+ damage I believe.

Also, someone stole pressure-indicating tire valve caps from one side of my car shortly thereafter.

Arizona may be safe, but it's also the car theft capitol of the country!

Thanks, Litesokneecough. Although I really hate to be right in this instance...New Jersey, Chicago and LA don't even rank among the top 5 on this list.

Nope. Chicago and L.A. have a lot of thefts because they have a lot of cars. But your chances of getting your car stolen aren't as high as in Phoenix. Heck, in Chicago the chances are only half as much as in Phoenix; we were ranked 51, just below Pine Bluff AR and Orlando.

If it bothers you, move to State College PA.
