Ferrari can sell out of EVERY single "Enzo" they made and actually made an extra 50 cars to meet demand..total 399 for ~$700,000 each and Acura can't break 200 units for a 90K NSX

Also, you can't buy a few year old Enzo with almost no miles for slightly more than half the price of a new one either!

Canada may not even sell the two they have this year. If I won the lotto I would buy at least 6 of them, more if I want more than one for myself.

FERRARI BOWS TO PRESSURE
Auto executives like to say they always like to produce one car short of demand. But what do you do when you receive a steady flow of complaints that you’ve more seriously shorted the potential market for your $700,000 sports car? In the case of the new Enzo, Ferrari’s fastest and most powerful road car ever, you crank up production from 349 to 399. But the Italian marque won’t have to worry about vehicles gathering dust at the dealer showroom. “We have already sold out all the cars,” announced Luca de Montezemolo, chairman of Ferrari-Maserati. “So on the day of the (public introduction), this car is no longer available.” Named for Ferrari’s legendary founder, the Enzo will churn out 650 horsepower, hit a top speed of 217 mph, and launch from a dead stop to 60 in 3.6 seconds. —Paul Eisenstein

They are for sale to anyone who wants to cut the check, unlike the F50 where Ferrari picked who they were going to offer the car to and placed limits on your ability to re-sell it, etc.

So given that demand seems so strong, it will be interesting to see what people flip these cars for. I wonder how many are being bought with that sole intention. On the other hand it would be funny if a so many people bought them with the intention of flipping them that there are too many on the market and they can't get their premium.

Producing more cars than they stated they would has cause some grumbling form the owners who thought they were making an investment. I think BMW annouced they were going to make more Z8s, which was not great news for the current owners.
