I was wondering if there is a "track or race" music cd that everyone usually listens to? I've been watching some videos and it seems that most have some similar songs.

I'm sure it'll be personal preference but I was just wondering if there is something like this for sale.

I listen to an italo-japanese industrial kind of music. They use a VTEC and a Tubi...

I listen to Initial-D soundtrack CD while drifting downhill.

"Red Barcheta" by Rush

A second vote here for Disturbed. The Matrix soundtrack also works well at higher speeds. Nighttime driving with the roof off requires Pink Floyd and a little dose of Springsteen never hurts, especially live version of Murder Inc.

Taitec Lightweight Exhaust... or whatever is in the CD changer.

Prog Metal (Rush, Dream Theater etc.), Pink Floyd, ACDC, LedZep, Metal (Tool,Metallica, Pantera), Trip Hop (Portishead, Sneaker Pimps), and the once in a while weekend pop (No Doubt, and techno dance crap)

Doing any spirited driving should be done with windows down, gloves on, and seatbelt firmly tightened.

I dont know who sings it but it goes like this GET OUT THE WAY GET OUT THE WAY...MOVE!

I found that listening to the following songs during "Spirted" driving adds approximately 40HP. (Your experiences may vary.)

Pantera: F'ing Hostile
Metallica: Sanitarium
Metallica: Whiplash
Motorhead: Overkill

Haha, Ludacris...
Another Quote from that song: "I'm doing 100 on the highway, so if you do the speed limit, get the f*** outa my way"

Am I in the minority here, or does everyone listen to music on the track? Sounds dangerous to me.

I'm with you, Fester. In addition to being safer, monitoring audio cues from the car/engine/tires provides essential feedback for HPD.

In order to avoid any confusion, I don't believe anyone actually drives on the track with the radio on. I think that the responses actually were talking about music on the way to the track, on the highway pretending to be on the track or just hanging around the track. At least that was intended by my post.
