Am looking to upgrade my front parking bulbs (right next to the turn signal). My bulb guy thinks the bulb is probably a 194. The bulbs he has are 5W with supposed 10 W output and will match the color of my krypton/xemon headlights.
Can anyone verify that 194 is the correct bulb? Anyone come across any with higher wattage with the xenon color?
As I mentioned in other posts, I could not be more thrilled with the high wattage kryton/xenon headlight bulbs which look the world like the bmw xenon for all of $35. I would highly recommend them. (Like them so much my wife's car is about to get some!)

If ur running the tru high wattage bulbs i hope u were smart enought to get a heavy duty wire harness as these bulbs produce intense heat and will melt the stock harness n insulation on the wires...i used to run two sets of 100w hid look halogen bulbs on my legend and had to replace the lamp sockets within the yr because they were burnt to a crisp. It was after this that i upgraded to the heavy duty harness available online and had no problems. Even if ur using only 80w hid look halogen bulbs it will still happen. Those hid look bulbs only last a yr on average and in the long run it would have been cheaper to go with the real thing IMO.

If you are talking about the outer most bulb, it is a "wedge bulb" type 168. 12v/5w. Common on all cars.

We are still talking about the bumper lights right? (Right underneath the headlights?)

Type 168 WILL work, but the 5W output is incorrect. It is too dim. Factory specs are 194.

168 will make you look like you are puting around in a 6V VW Bug electrical system. It will look old and yellow.

194 is the correct spec bulb.

powered by Honda,

he is talking about upgrading bulbs. It may look dim with the standard yellow bulbs, but I used PIAA xenon-whatever bulbs and they match the Upgraded headlamps just fine.

Thanks for the help. Between these two threads, Nobody seems to have found a bulb brighter than 5 watts which I was hoping for (would it look too bright?).
As for running higher wattage bulbs in the stock harness, that is what I am doing. I just recently read a post somewhere on this site where the poster said the stock setup was more than adequate. I will have to find it again when I have a moment. The seller of these bulbs also claims there are no problems whatsoever with running higher wattages. (I will look into this further since mine are 80w lows and 100 w highs).

I hope you are not buying your bulbs from this guy: http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006573.html

No,not buying from any of the guys on that thread. Buying from Buyerzheaven which I found on e-bay. Appearance of the lights is great (bluish white like the science of speed light pictured here http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/exterior_performance_products/NSX/ScienceofSpeed/HID_System/

but costs only $35 for both highs and lows. My only concern is this wattage issue.
