I was thinking it over and was wondering if there were other users on this forum who would be interested in seeing what mods other owners have done.

I figure it can relatively simple. Maybe in a owner's gallery or a modification of the picture gallery.

Everyone could post what mods and projects they are working on, so that other owners can ask specific questions to the people who are using/installing certain mods. We can make it simple and allow people to update their threads whenever something has chagned, instead of creating a new thread. It could be a help area as well. This way anyone who was looking for an evaluation on a product, could just ask an owner with that is already using it...

just a thought.

feel free to shoot the topic down.

Allen

Nice site, but it's a painful wait for those with dial-up.

the mod idea is a good idea, except MYNSX would always be at the top of the list.

oh, but that would be a good thing!

Ditto that .Nice job on the site.
As far as your idea on listing of mod's.
I say go for it.
Some subjects may be redundant "but" a "specific area" might help to find things faster.
There are specific internal motor mod's I'd like to research.Low compression motors. And just how much Hp. can we create assuming price was not an issue lets call the budget 30k max.

Ed,

I also wanted to chime in and say that I love your site. I have pretty much read all the articles pertaining to your various mods.

By the way, I love your rims.

Thanks for the input.

I want to get guys like Jon York and others who are out beating these poor cars into the ground (and thus learning first hand what works and what doesn't) to get involved as well. The problem with the "field testers" is that they are normaly too busy to take pics and write all this crap down!

Neo: What the hell? You own an NSX and use a dialup? You are kidding me, right? Go get a fast connection!

While I think broadband is a great technology, I must also admit that, if faced with the choice between (a) a fast car and a slow connection, or (b) a slow car and a fast connection, ...

Yes, I absolutely agree! You can add these to your signature! However, pictures are always nice, though!

Ed, (NSXBUILDER)
I think your site is very informative and well put together… Good job! Your NSX is too sweet!
X-TNSIV- I think your idea is a good one. Maybe small thumbnails and writes ups of each mod would make for good discussion and do away with a lot of guess work for owners as well as for future owners. Besides, we all love to see other people’s cars and the upgrades first hand right?
MYNSX- If you and ED make it out to the Bay Area next year, feel free to leave your X’s in my drive way… Better yet, inside my garage that way they can’t escape!

The "It's all been done before" link is a good start, but the mods are only part of the story. How about descriptions of the ones that work? Ones that were a pain in the ass to implement? Ones that cost a ton but added nothing to the cars performance - or made it worse.

I think we all want to know what road others have traveled so we don't have to reach the same dead ends as the poor saps that came before us. If you have mods, what are the plus and minus of them? Like my oil cooler that caused me months of grief before I got it right, knowing what I was getting into would have been helpful.

The other problem is knowing where to look for the resources. If you didn't know to look on my sight or the Reference page or wherever then you stand alone in the middle of a big empty. NSXCA (sight and newsletter), NSXPrime, NSXSC, NSXFiles and other high traffic sights would need to point it out.

The matrix and number of mods is huge, so putting it all together is not a trivial task. The form of it could be like the "old" mods chart with links to descriptions of each. Could be done...
