Just bought a 1/10 scale R/C Castrol Mugen NSX, I'm putting together the chassis now, and will post pictures of the finished car in the picture gallery if anyone's interested.

btw, I don't feel like painting it in the castrol mugen nsx colors (green, black, orange). I was thinking red for the body and black/dark grey for the hood. Any other ideas? Maybe I make it look like MYNSXs car? But I think that would require more aftermarket parts...

I'd love to post a picture of that on my site.

Actually I want to build one for me.

Pheon$x gave me an awesome remote one in black. When I make some time I'd like to custom paint it.

I like the color schemes on these two cars:

hoarycripple, let me guess, you got a Tamiya TL-01?

Actually the Tamiya NSX body (a JGTC NSX) quite resembles MYNSX's car even close to the spoiler. I may buy a Kyosho Castrol Mugen NSX body to put on my 1/8th FW04 but I just bought an HPI Corvette C5R body.

Check out the link below for more Tamiya NSX pics including the Raybrig NSX.

I too just bought a 1/10 Scale Castrol Mugen NSX. Should get mine sometime next week. Very interested in you pics and how difficult it was to put together.

Yes, it's a Tamiya TL-01. I just finished putting together the chassis, and it was quite easy. I actually finished it in about 4 hours or so. The body on the other hand is going to take a while. I haven't airbrushed since I was 15 or so and I think it's going to take a while to get it right. I Do like the *all* the color schemes that were posted here, and it's going to be difficult choosing one. I may go for something simple to start out with, and if I find i'm competent enough for the full race look, i'll buy another nsx body and re-paint. Well, at least i'll have something to do during the winter (other than work that is). Give me a week or so and I'll post the pics. Btw, the nsx at radiocontrol zone is amazing, i love the seats that he/she stuck in the car.

I have the Tamiya Raybrig NSX 2000. It's
not difficult to put together at all.

Tamiya and Kyosho have very detailed bodies
and decals compared to HPI or HotBodies. Lexan
bodies are very easy to paint. Just buy
a can of spray paint like Pactra for $3.50
and spray the inside. It doesn't really matter
if you do a bad job because it'll still
look smooth and shiny from the outside. I
have the Tamiya Raybrig Blue spray shipped
from Canada and Japan because it's not
available in the US.

As I understand, Tamiya chassis in general
are not very competitive, in case you want
to go into racing. I have a few hop-up
parts such as carbon graphite frame,
aluminum motor mount and ball bearings.
Usually you're better off buying a more
expensive kit that includes hop-up parts
and buying the parts separately.

Got my kit put together last night, will work on painting the body tonight. Thinking of painting it to match my 1:1 model instead of the castrol mugen black/green scheme. Any pics of your finished cars?
