I'm with Yellowpad, I love the dual tips as well.

Calvin,

If Tubi ends up being the way to go maybe we can set-up a group buy.

The cost from Tubi has since increased. There is one more unit left on the group buy.

Cheers,

You will not be dissapointed. The tips are beautiful, and yes, one side is not perfect compared to the other, but how many of us stand around and stare at our tips!! The sound is fabulous, and that is what you get to enjoy every time you crank it up. It almost (I said almost) makes me want to start listening to Italian Opera

I always wanted the Tubi, until last sunday.

The Tubi sounds like a stock exhaust next to a JGTC IMO. We compared them side by side, where's the Ferrari sound that everyone talks about?

spartan,

if you don't mind elaborate a bit more on the compareson, as I have narrowed my choices down to tubi/jgtc.

how much louder is jgtc to tubi? which one is deeper? tone of jgtc?

really appreciate your help,

I would listen to several exhaust (side by side) if you can, this should assist in making your decision. Good luck..

i just wish we have a small exhaust show off or competition here in OC. hmmmm...think think...think!! tubi or not tubi.....oh well, i guess this would delay me for a few more days on my decision making.

JGTC is definately louder, more race car sound while Tubi produces a sophisticated stock sound.

which one is deeper? tone of jgtc?

on idle the JGTC is deeper, more noticeable. I revved up the Tubi and sounds closer to stock until it burbles when you let off the throttle,(sounds sweet) JGTC will definately tell you "Its far from stock"

1NSX2GO recorded some sound clips and video from last sundays drive, hopefully Option2 can assist in posting them, Im sure they are in the process.

Tubi is nowhere near the sound of a Ferrari as I expected.

Hey Guys, I will need to get the audio track of the Tubi recording I made converted into an audio file and then I can get someone to post it. I should have it ready by this weekend. I also have the pix from this weekends drive. Who can I send them to for posting?

"Tubi is nowhere near the sound of a Ferrari as I expected."

But this depends on your perception of nice sounding exhaust. From what I read here, it seems you say "the louder the better".
Ferrari exhaust are not that loud. Believe me. My Tubi NSX sounds louder than my work colleague's stock F360. And a lot quiter than my friend's father F355 Challenge.

Actually, I dont like loud Exhaust, in fact I tried to sell my JGTC (to buy Tubi)and would still consider selling/trade it for ?? may consider "Supersprint???"

Have them side by side and you will hear the difference I tried to convey. They both have their ups and downs.

The down side of the JGTC for me is, "ITS LOUD".

The Down side of Tubi is "mucho dinero$$$$"

so JGTC is louder then Tubi? how much louder. if someone could send me the MP3 of the recording, that would be awesome. so if tubi doesn't sound like a ferrari? what does it sound like? would it just be another louder stock exhaust?

BTW, thanks for all the opinion guys....i do appreciate this very much.

Yellowpad, my opinion is save yourself the extra $$$ & get the JGTC. Sounds like the Tubi gets a lot of hype just b/c of its association w/ Ferrari exhausts, kinda like the "bling bling" of exhausts. If you're expecting to achieve a significant sound difference for the significant price, than the Tubi is not for you b/c its volume is not much different than stock except for the refined gargle when you let off throttle. If you want a loud race car-like note (that's not like a rattling tin can of rice) at almost half the price get the Taitec JGTC. Ok, so I'm biased, but I think many will attest that at our last NSX group meet, my exhaust definitely got more positive attention than the Tubi. At that price, the Italian craftsmanship is lacking compared to the perfect TIG welds of the beautiful dual parallel cannister design & perfect tips of the Taitec. BTW, the JGTC is SCARY loud, especially the first rev in a garage, but it's not obnoxious nor does it drown out interior cabin music or conversation--loud on the outside, quiet from the inside--perfect! Just my 2 cents.

I went through the same thing a few months ago. I ended up with the Taitec GT Lightweight because I thought the JGTC would be to loud. I absolutely love the looks and sound of this exhaust! If you want to get together to check it out let me know.

Agree 100% with this - first time I heard the JGTC (from about 3 blocks away!) I just thought it was "ugly" loud, not "sexy" loud.

The Tubi, in addition to being expensive, also doesn't work for my '02 rear end - while I acknowledge the twin pipes look nice to fill the overly-large pre '02 valance opening, I prefer the appearance of single tip in the '02.
i.e. I don't wish the '02 gap was wider to accommodate the dual-tip - wish the Tubi had single-tip to accommodate compact exit of the new valance.

p.s. Nice hooking up with you guys on Sunday, even if I couldn't make the drive afterwards - hope you'll all make the meet on Saturday in the South Bay - see here for details.
Possible we could have record crowd if you all show!
