CT: Non-Comp toe link & beam. Do they work?

Does anyone have any experience with the Comptech non-compliance toe link and rear beam? My '91 with 60k miles (+ lots of track time) is starting to feel a little "loose" in the rear. The rear squirms around under hard acceleration and doesn't feel planted and confident in high-speed sweepers. Might the CT parts help this situation? FYI, the car has Konis, Ground Controls, RM bars and 17/18 wheels.

Thanks,
SM

If your car is "starting" to feel loose in the rear, and if prior to it starting to feel loose, you didn't have the CT non-compliance beam/toe-links, then I wouldn't infer that the cited aftermarket parts would solve the problem. Could be the things Ken mentioned or other bushings etc. But if you need an excuse to upgrade, then sure rationalize it by concluding that you need it!

BTW, do you track the bimmer also?

Yes, the problem with diagnosing the "problem" is that it has happened over a long period of time and the car isn't driven daily. I know the tires and rest of the suspension is "tight" and in good shape. I do want a fresh alignment but I know that isn't the issue.

Yes I track the E36. The NSX feels similar to when the rear trailing arm bushings are shot on a BMW

The rear end seems to "walk" around with a mind of its own!!!

This CT upgrade isn't cheap...figure around $2k after install and alignment so I want to make sure it will be an upgrade over stock!

Thanks,

Nice analogy to the E36 RTAB issue. The CT non-compliance beam/toe links are an improvement over stock and do what you would expect, i.e., reduce the tendency to change rear toe under load, so for a track car, I'd recommend it. It's the only suspension mod that I've done on my NSX-Z.

CT non compliance bushing and toe link really works. It is amazing. Makes the car more predictable and easier to control. DEfinitely a must do upgrade for track cars.

That Rear Trailing arm bushing on the E36 almost bite me in the ass. I drove a friend E36 at Sears Point and he didn't tell me about the problem. Went sideways and almost hit the wall because of it.

Enough said

I'll order them next week!

Thanks for the help guys. <OT> Make sure all your buddies with E36s get new bushings w/GC rear stiffners or the AA rear bushings!
