Got a new set of wheels and tires to replace my 5ZR Copse & SP9000 combo last week and finally got around to uploading pics.

New wheels are Work Equip wheels and new tires are Bridgestone S-03s.

Yellowdancer,

No, that wasn't me. (I was watching Spiderman at the time!!) If it's anywhere near the Mira Mesa / Scripps Poway Parkway area of 15N, I'm pretty sure it's this other NSX with aftermarket wheels that lives near me. As far as I can tell, however, that one is a coupe. (I haven't been able to identify the driver yet.)

I pretty much drive with my roof off whenever I get the chance!!

Fury NSX,

What made you decide to buy new wheels and what did you end up doing with your 5 ZR Copse's? Was it just a "wild hair"?

Oh, just felt like a change. I still have the 5Zigens. I'm going to see if the rears fit okay on my Lexus, and if that works, I'll go ahead and order an 18x8.5 for the front. If it doesn't work, I'll just go ahead and sell the wheels and tires as a set for an NSX.

Hahaha, I love your username!!! If Ron Jeremy likes it, it's all good!!!

NSXaholic,
I got them from a local (San Diego) Discount Tire. The manager there really takes care of me and he's real good about getting in wheels AND at a good price. Great staff there, too!!

RyRy210,
Yeah, the car is lowered with Eibach springs. I only went down about 3/4 of an inch rather than the normal 1.25 or 1.5 that some people seem to be getting.

FuryNSX, Iordered the Tecnosped z2's they'll be arriving in 2 months. (17x8 and 18x10) will 225/ZR40/17 and 275/ZR35/18 with a 1" Eibach drop fit without rubbing and will TCS be ok. Or should I go with 215 in front.

If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading about some lowered NSXs with 225s that rubbed. Anyone with 225s having this problem?

BTW, as I said in another thread, I really want to see what it looks like when you get those Z2s!! Definitely post pics please.

Definitly will post the pics. Did you order the Blitz silver or the regular silver. Also what do think about chroming these wheels, will it ruin the details of the rim. I have order the regular silver.

I got whatever was standard. I think it's considered silver. The other finish that I'm aware of is the chrome center. I thought that might have too much of a BLING BLING effect on my 3.2TL.

FuryNSX, do you rub with ur current setup? I rub when I make a full-lock turn when the front is under compression. I was wondering whether u have the same problem?

No, I don't rub. I'm running 215/40/17s in the front. I read about the problems with 225s, so I decided against it. Plus, the front only went down about .5 or .75 of an inch when it was lowered.

Is your chin spoiler missing in those photos?

I have mine lowered 1.5 inches with Neuspeed springs but after they settled its more like 2 inches with 215/40s up front as well and it doesn't rub at all.

Your NSX looks lower than .75 inch in front, it looks lower than mine in fact.
