Just saw Driven

I liked the movie. Don't want to give anything away for those yet to see it. But I rate it 4.5 palm trees on a scale of 1 to 5

Not quite Star Wars edge of your seat type action (my kind of movie) but a very cool film. I had fun!

It was a fun movie - just as long as your not expecting the Godfather or Spartacus or something.

Cool racing action. I liked the 3 quarter trick.

A 4 out of 5 for action.
A 1.5 out of 5 for the dialogue.

Worth going for the races, especially the street race... although that would have been impossible. still cool

entertaining, but if I stop and think about it, I can't stand it. the chopper blowing flames all over the car about to go into flames. ugh!

days of thunder had a better plot, but this was a movie that was made for the audience - it was everything the audience wanted to see - crashes, and street racing in CART-style cars

Driven was everything I expected. Plot was of small consequence, it was the racing, and the incredible special effects that give it an A+. The quarter thing was pretty sweet too. Suspend some disbelief, and enjoy the sights and sounds should be this movies closing line.
What about "The Fast and the Furious"? I will be in the theater opening night. Expect a post immediately following.

personally, I thought the movie sucked. I did like the racing scenes, but the horrific crashes even reduced their overall appeal.

another thing, for anyone that tracks their NSX, front load with your wives that "the crash scenes in the movie are nowhere near realistic". I got a heavy dose of "can those things happen to you when you take your car out on the track?"

speaking of crash scenes in that movie, sheesh, what about the one guy that went into the water right after a turn - no one cared, they kept racing and no one stopped for him! he took a nose dive off the course! watch it again (wait, dont do that), and you'll see it.

I just watched driven today and I really enjoyed it. I was glad it wasnt a Days of Thunder clone (though I do like that movie too).

The action was good, the racing through Chicago was sweet and the ladies were quite attractive.

I REALLY wanted to drive hard after watching that movie! Too bad I dont have an NSX
