i'm just driving in my beater integra and of coarse when i decide to drive that beater i always regret it. i saw an f-40 going down the street in the oposite direction and i was like holly sh#t and to my surprise there was a f-50 behind it i pulled a u-turn and caught them up and two older guys were driving them, then they both just mashed the gas and left me sitting their wishing i was in my nsx :-(
to say the least the integra is staying home for awhile but i'm sure that i'll never see them two cars again....

I rode in an F-50 around Portland International Raceway this Summer.
I am not a very openly emotional sort of a person, but I could not stop the maniacal laughter from erupting forth every time the driver got on the throttle.

Good god..I need an F-50.
On the down side the cornering wasn't THAT impressive, and neither was the braking.
of course, this is a stock F-50 compared to a CT Coilover'd NSX w/ Brembo Brake's.

Edo, unless you have the Comptech powertec brakes, the F50 has better brakes than you do, and unless you have the JGTC's NSX' suspension, the F50 has better suspension set-up than you do

It's probably just the driver who is making the car seem slow.

I've seen this happen elsewhere... at an Alfa Time Trials event at Road America a few years ago, a relatively stock NSX (with exhaust, headers, 4.55 R&P) was pulling laptimes of around 2:36. This was FTD for the NSX gang that day, which included several shoes and many SCd cars. This was also the best time for an F40 driven by a medium-skill (B-run group type) driver.

For comparatives (posted without driver's permissions):
- Best N/A 3.0L NSX times I've heard of were around 2:29 (Mike Bergman in the lightened GT2 car by Acura of Brookfield)
- BMWCCA clubrace best time was 2:27.9 (Larry Wright in a lightened, 350+ hp E36 M3 racecar); best STOCK E36M3 times were 2:39.9
- Viper Days 2001 champ did a 2:24.067 (John Grieco in a GTS in GT-1 class) -- he came in 2nd that weekend (note: RA is a big HP track)
- PD was running somewhere in the 2:25 or so range at NSXPO 2001
- CART 2001 race winner did a 2:00.28 (polesitter qualified at 1:45.488)
- Track record (also CART) is 1:39.866

Hey, I have the Dali-Brembo setup..it can't be THAT different from Comptech's Powertec Brakes...
Well, whatever the case the F-50 had slicks and I had Toyo Proxes T1-S tires, and he wasn't pulling away in the corners or braking.

He did walk away on the straights though. He pulled almost 10 car lengths on me on just the front straight at PIR.

Well, in the end I still want an F-50. Even if it was just for the engine note. Like I said: I couldn't stop the manical laughter from erupting forth everytime he hit the throttle...

George, Lets sell both of our NSX's rob a Bank or two and buy an F-50. You can have it every other week.

Edo, U will be surprise the difference in the brembo lotus (what u have) and the powertec from comptech. The one u have is street version, and just look at the size, yours is half the size. Believe me that the ferrari will walk all over u with the right driver.

If u want to check it out, come to thunderhill this Nov 24 with Ferrari event. They will have GT40 and GT50 (only 4 made). And last time Johannes Van Overbeek gave rides.

I believe that CT uses 6 pot now, with 4 pot rears. They have made this change from 4 pot front and rear that they sell before.
