Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Still planning on hitting bakers for a bit around 3pm or so tomorrow

Judi and I had some big fun at a private rental day at Waterford Hills.

We took our red NSX and the S2000, and both cars did great on that technical and demanding track.

I was treated to a ride in a friend's Ferrari 360CS, man that thing felt like a full-on race car.....and those brakes

You might recognize a fellow Wednesday-nighter getting his first track experience under his belt too!

Super jealous and wish I could've joined you guys! Looks like it was a blast! Next time.

The weather was perfect, really all that was missing was the wail of a LoveFab NSX cutting through the Fall air.

That, and LJZ's NSX as well

Brian

Ugh, miffed that I missed the fun at Waterford and especially the kind offer of some instruction from Brian and Judi. Next time hopefully. I assume that is Vince in the Vette -- nice ride!

So, who of the MI gang is going to NSXPO? I will be there with a buddy from Toronto who just lost his mom and I think that this will provide a much needed respite and distraction for him. My plan is (as usual a bit weird) to depart MI by 1 PM on Thursday 16 to be sure I am in Marysville for the festivities that evening. I need to be back home by early Sunday a.m. so I will depart right after the banquet Saturday night. Dave has similar departure plans Saturday night so we'll have a little NSX convoy back to MI -- shades of that song from the /70s.

I look forward to seeing those of you going to NSXPO in a couple of weeks.

And by the way, I did venture over to Bakers on Sunday around 3:30 -- didn't see any of the NSX crowd. I've never seen it so packed though.

Odd, there were 4 NSX's in attendance total at various times. Was a good crew out for the last one. We were all over on the "overflow" lot on the south side. Yeah, it was packed there for sure. Actually, just realized we had 5 there that I knew of...plus you apparently!

Totally weird -- I must be losing my mind or my eyesight at a minimum. I parked on the south side as well but quite far in the back (behind the office buildings in the shade well away from the crowd) but did walk the overflow lot and didn't see your car or EKIN's. Sorry I missed you guys.

Liz and I will be there but heading for the track first.

Red Na1? I tried to catch up to you but I couldn't catch up. I looked around but you know how our cars are impossible to find in a crowded parking lot lol.

I'd like to make it to NSXPO, I'm trying to figure out my work schedule and if I can get my cruise control to work. Light turns on but can't get it to set.

Haas yes red na1. I'm fussy about where I park Baby so she was tucked quite far away from the action in her own nice shady spot w/o any neighbors. Haas if your travel times line up with mine let me know. In 5 years/27,000 miles (including the drive from AZ to MI when I bought the car), I think I've used the cruise control maybe 3 times -- guess I should check to see if it works!

Thank You Alum!

That's a nice looking TL-S. I'm a big fan of the 3rd generation TL, I recently purchased a 2005 for my younger brother. Although it does have high miles it looks and drives very well. Good Luck on the search, TL-S are hard to find

Does this belong to anyone here, friend of mine sent me this. It was spotted in the Ann Arbor area. They like to send me pics of NSXs they see around lol. He's not much of a car guy but he really liked the color.

Hey, I gotta picture like that...2014-07-19 20.55.00.jpg

Hey Gino! How's Chula Vista?

Gino Belleville MI misses you. I see you listed your berlina for sale :frown: sorry to see that but priorities are priorities. How did you ship it to CA? Your TL-S looks beauty, as always!

FULL moon tonight, so I thought I should make a public announcement that..... there is NO...... CJ's tomorrow

Arena is hosting a big concert.

Thx for the CJ warning! I would have been there going wtf?!

^ Cool. Maybe I'll try to make it if time allows.

I'm thinking of hitting the Waterford Hills OTD this Sunday. I'm not going to run, but want to do some lunchtime/parade laps in the Z with it's new 5 speed now in place. I figure that's about the right pace for that car. Anyone wanna join?

Gonna try to hit the Toledo Cars-n-Coffee this Sunday 9-11 AM - for the first time this entire year

Also, getting a wee-bit excited about NSXPO next week. Can't believe it's here already. Just read that Peter Cunningham (Acura RealTime Racing Team in SCCA Pirelli World Challenge race circuit) will be present during the entire NSXPO.

Sure hope he brings his "toys" with him!

I couldnt have chosen a better first NSXPO to have attended. It was everything I imagined and then some. At times it was so surreal, I wasnt sure if I was dreaming or not. A few stories that would sound made up almost haha..

Yeah...priorities. I shipped it and the TL Type S to California semi enclosed. It's great out here!
