Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

If you attach it, you'll get a thumb nail. If you host it remotely and insert the link (i.e., Picasa, Photobucket), it'll display in line.

Here's a couple from the track. I believe this is Jeff's car, or maybe Brian's, or Brian driving Jeff's car. Fun times!

Jeff's car for sure (great pix, Dave!)

As to who was driving, the fact that the line is perfect means.........it's a toss-up ;^D

FUN TIMES!

Too kind as always Brian! It was probably you driving but with your coaching I was for sure starting to get the hang of it.

:frown:

It has been a blur since we returned from ESTFest.
Nice to visit with you sports-car fans yesterday evening at CJ's (now to be known as USA Arena soon ? ).

I'll try to view/host and post a couple photos soon.

First Lingenfelter Cars and Coffee Saturday morning in Wixom. Weather?

Hey, if the weather on Saturday (the morning looks 'iffy' at best right now) sux, how about heading out to Waterford Hills on Sunday to check out our Open Track Day #3 ?

Bob (yellow NSX) has registered to participate in his S2000, and there will be lunchtime lapping (slow- no helmets needed and no squealing tires ;-) available for all present.

Just a thought, Judi and I will be there anyway!

Brian

You're not supposed to squeal your tires during the "slow" lunch time laps???

I don't think I've ever been on the track at lunch without playing the usual "oops, somehow I got way behind the pace car, I better speed up just a little bit to catch up" game, along with almost everyone else on the track.

Hey, you're not helping!!!

Yes, 'laggarding' is a common phenomenon that I may or may not have practiced in the past as well ;^D

This is going to be a new experience for me, having someone in the passenger seat telling me "go faster" instead of Laurie with her death grip on the door handle yelling "SLOW DOWN".

Guys, as always it was great to have everybody up in Ontario and you all were awesome guests. I can't wait for next year to see all you guys again!

Passed a silver one going north on Squirrel just south of Dutton today about 2PM, is it someone from the board?

I'll be on Belle Isle Sunday. . .

As of right now I'm planning on going to the Lingenfelter Cars and Coffee Saturday morning in Wixom. alum04org - I'm thinking of leaving at 7:40 if you are interested in a little drive.
sca037 - What time does the Waterford Hills track day run Sunday? I'm not registered but I might be able to stop buy.

RobM - we'll see which one of the two things I end up yelling ;-P

Bob_54 - we can run from 10am through 6pm, but it often ends closer to 5pm depending on who is left to keep running.

Brian

Cool... Maybe I'll see some of you all Saturday @ C&C....

THANK YOU and the folks working the planning committee, and all behind the scenes, Sean. NSXCC puts on a superb ESTFest event.

Bob I am watching the weather and it does not appear promising. I want to go, just need 2-4 clear weather hours. Trade telly calls in the AM?

Here we go!

Finally had opportunity to view photos taken ESTFest last weekend.

Prepping for departure

Met other NSXers!!!

^^^ LJZ ^^^

^^^ SCA037 and NSXGal ^^^

^^^ RobM and Laurie ^^^

^^^ PJR300 and A-M ^^^

Combined with Dave V (blk 91) on I-94 EB out of the east side. We found Josimon (Lake Forest, IL) at the booze pavilion in Port Huron, MI. (Duty-free store) Ody in his red/tan 2002 NSX also, except he was feeding his face at Wendy's.

So I believe Sean, Bram, Daria, and Ody had notified the locals of our foray. Thank heaven they didn't spill beans to the CA border guys

'Cause it didn't take long before they found us. R-e-a-l smooth and relaxing drive after receiving the escort.

Going our way?

Heading onto track

Had a super weekend!

Nice pictures Neal!

I kept waiting for you to pass our Police escort, but you wisely resisted that temptation.......

We had the same cold / windy / wet weather that the Detroit Grand Prix suffered through for the Waterford Hills OTD on Sunday.
RobM (or shall we call him 'Spin Bob Full Pants' ?) had his hands full taming his S2000 in those conditions.
In fact, I can verify that RE050's pretty much suck in the wet!

Still, plenty of fun was had
Brian

I had a blast, thanks for all the advice.

The videos didn't come out great, it set the levels based on inside the car so that shows up really well, but the view out the windshield is overexposed and all washed out so you can barely see where we're going. You were right about the second spin, you point and said something like "aim right at that puddle" then the world starts spinning.

Sorry for the poor quality, it's the first time I've used the gopro with the top up. My favorite was the second spin and "I was gonna be proud for a second there".... but nope, couldn't save it.

First OTD, first session, second lap.

First OTD, second session, first lap.

The third and fourth session I did better, no wheels off the track. It helped that the rain had stopped and track was getting dry.

Neal knows what it's like having me taunt him into hitting an apex, but his involved monetary bribery ;-P

Whatever works, amiright?
