Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Hey, guys just thought I'd say hello to the gang out here in SE Michigan. A few of you might know me from the posts requesting some help on penfed. I was going to say hello here after a writing about my rather long frustrating pre-purchase experience and a wonderfully joyful time after buying the car but I got busy with some other developments in my personal life so looks like I have put off that for now. Buying the NSX has been a dream come true to say the least considering this was my wallpaper all through grad school. Talk about living your dream right ? So far I am keeping the car As-is the way I bought it but I will be swapping out to the OEM hood and spoiler which I got with this deal.
Btw when do you guys usually meet up at CJs ? I'd love to join sometime

Hass, I was there 3-9:30 but just went ahead and parked mine after one loop at 3:30. The traffic was pretty unbearable to do it any longer. Finally did one more loop at 9ish before I headed back home. Your buddies with the gumball GTR sounded pretty good !

Congratulations to you following your lengthy NSX search and welcome aboard! Kind of wondered whether you were still hunting, standing down, otherwise occupied.... now we know! :wink: She looks NICE!!

CJ's Weds 445 pm through usually 715 pm (or so) and of course, all are welcome to join us. Please stop in. Look for the "church pew" table in the rear of the main room. Right now the weather-guessers are guessing "iffy" and un-settled weather w/a good chance of storms Weds afternoon. Might be a better time to drive the daily appliance.

SIGHTING, in Plymouth (Old Village) Friday afternoon saw a Silver NSX rollin', it must have been Bmac!

Hey, is anyone else getting perturbed at the cost difference of Premium fuel hitting up to 70 cents per gallon over Regular unleaded?

What ever happened to Mid-grade being 10 cents a gallon more than Regular, and Premium being 20 cents more than Regular???

I agree. Exorbitant price delta between (regular) unleaded and mid-grade/premium fuel these days.

Any interest in a serious drive Sat or Mon morning(s) to SW of Ann Arbor down into Bridgewater, Manchester, Clinton, Macon, Tecumseh and maybe W then N back up to I-94 inside Jackson County ? Feeling some urge to get seat time soon as summer draws closer to fall... . . burn some premium.

I don't have a stock (plastic milk jug) one handy, just a dual-chambered black aluminum LoveFab one that I bought a while back with intentions of possibly putting it on the red car if needed.

Are you interested in selling? The nsx is leaking only when warm, it's coming from underneath the tank. I took out the tank but no noticeable cracks or holes. Here's a quick clip, you can see leak on the cable below the tank.

I think we got 111 miles today in both. Quite the breakfast and drive, although there was lots of Holiday weekend/Sunday traffic. We got loose from the boat/house trailers and "Sunday drivers" a few times.

The sounds from the 458 and the Exige S (and others!) were epic, these are the Summertime memories that get us through the long cold Winters in Michigan!

Neal, Thanks! Recently it's always something but I can't complain about life, always thinking positive. Looks like a fun group of cars, hope to join a drive next time. Btw I got heart burn just looking at that breakfast lol


This is my little brothers TL few weeks back, young lady texting and driving ran into it parked outside a friends house in Farmington . Might be salvaged but we don't know yet

Dang, or better stated, danged - ding Hass. Poor TL :mad: Do hope your little brother has a small deductible or likely it would be waived. The number of operators (certainly NOT drivers) paying attention to their gizmo's these days is daunting. The Secretary of State (BMV/DMV) calls it an "operators license" for people such as this.


Meanwhile, my sources deep inside the Secretary of State have advised an NA2, title of JH4NA21XXXTxxxxxx has left Michigan - title to be cancelled to the state / commonwealth /country of ______ (redacted). :frown: We much prefer gaining new specimens.



The Toledo Cars-N-Coffee is this Sunday 9a til 1130 a. Anyone who wishes to be added to the Toledo CNC e-mail distribution listing can send a msg requesting to be added to Pete at - parquette17atgmail.com

Neal,

The TL will likely be declared salvaged tomorrow, her insurance is going to mail me a check for the "value" of the car once we agree on the amount. My insurance is not doing anything, everything is taking care by her insurance.

This might be the NA2 you are referring, new owner is Ngoan (skafia).
