Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Wanted to give props to Marc and Jacob from Autolavish for the best detail job I have ever seen on a car and another thank you to Steven Pham who took awesome pics of the car a few weeks back. Enjoy guys!

Tim-

Your NSX looks awesome. Chalk up another home run for Autolavish. I noticed the LED lights - tell me more about those. I might want to add some to my car if you don't mind a copycat.

Al,

Got them from Rick (S4play) on Prime. You can look him up in the vendor section here:

This is his 2nd Gen. led's as he has got different ones now but he has many choices. They are easily wired up to the parking lights (which are leds as well) so they go on together. I have wired them up about 4 times now since we had to take the bumper off for the re-paint last Fall but it is fairly easy, no bolts, no permanent application and they look sweet to boot.

Thanks Tim - neat stuff for sure.

Hey Gals and Girls -- check out NSX Club of Canada sticky when you have a moment. There is a Southwestern Ontario Event (meet in London) Saturday a.m. August 20 for the weekend. I am attending on Saturday and Owen (Secretary NSX Club of Canada) wanted me to extend the invite to the gang from MI.

Best,
Jeff

Lowered my car this winter. Eibach, Koni, Dali sway bars, and Dave's non-compliance gear. I wanted to save money so i bought springs and shocks.. Wish i just spent more and got coil overs maybe in a few years i will swap them out.

LJZ, we're actually considering hitting part of the London event as well, we just need to work out some details first.......

Grimeas, the stance looks good, how is the ride quality?
We put Bilsteins with the stock springs on the lower perch on the red car, and couldn't be happier with how it looks and rides.
The evil purple car has KW V3's and for the money I don't see how you can beat them if considering quality coilovers.....

Brian

I don't think the ride is bad as long as your on decent roads. I only had one issue and that was when i was driving up i think 23 or 75 to alpena and there was an area where it was washboard like and that got annoying really quick. I wouldn't mine a stiffer ride. The ride definitely gets stiffer if you put the konis full hard compared to full soft.

Now you are teasing us. How about posting the results? Also, pass the marshmallows! Your exhaust would be perfect for s'mores.

Haha, I mentioned marshmallows at the dyno once I saw that. When I saw it happen in person I didn't even notice it was both pipes since it happened so fast on the when the car was decelerating.
The results....just about 340rwhp. It gained about 30hp while on the dyno. A bit disappointing as I was hoping for closer to 400 based on others BBSC setups I've seen on here, but it is a Mustang dyno and maybe I am expecting too much from the BBSC. However, it was pulling timing at the top and that cost us at least 10-15hp right there. So once we get that straightened out and figure out how much more we can push the timing (if at all) there may be even more power to be had. No matter the numbers.....its a lot of fun and by far the fastest thing I've ever owned (well on 4 wheels)!

There's someone else in the local community who's been holding out on us.

Word on the street has a red '91 acquired by someone in Livonia, MI.

Blodi who are you working with, since I remember you saying your time with Ford was ending?
