Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

I the weather holds, we're IN......

You are going to laugh, but after moving the DS seat all the way forward to treat the leather on the back, the portable halogen light wand illustrated a tiny metallic glimmer next to the inboard seat track.
Yep, it was our long lost car key from the Waterford Open Track Day earlier this Summer (DOH!)

Brian ;^D

Hello Brian! Still chuckling a smidgen at this discovery but happy for you and NSXGal. Good on you.

Been a little rough lately, but maybe some photos to smooth it out?

A Little about me:

Active Duty Air Force Flight Engineer on UH-1N Huey helicopters. Photography has been a passion of mine for some time. Recently turned semi-professional photographer after upgrading some of my equipment and completely revamping my portfolio. My goal this year is to have some of my photo's published.

Any help on this project would be greatly appreciated and the outcome will be amazing! Thank you all and take care!

Hi folks. Thought I'd post and say hello. I live in Northville, right across the street from the high school and just a dash from CJ's. I'm going to have to make some of these events on Wednesday, which, unfortunately, is the same night as one of my bowling leagues, so I'll have to squeeze them in.

Current ride is a pretty clean 1st Gen Rx-7. The rotary has been tweaked quite a bit, primarily with an old school turbo kit to increase hp quite a bit. The suspension has a number mods too... and Brian, including a new right rear wheel bearing.

I've first had the opportunity to meet Brian and Judi at the Eyes On Design show back in June, where I was showing the 7, and became bitten by the NSX bug. To this point the virus has become not only stronger, but has transmitted to my daughter, who is my car event co-pilot.

The last few weeks have been spent putting the 7 up for sale. I thought it was sold, but a buyer backed out. It probably goes back to ebay tonite. Also looking at a few NSXs, but got caught up in the collapsed 7 sale as well as dealing with a few health issues of my mother; during that time, my electronic list of potential cars got shorter as some of the cars of my interest were sold.

Hopefully, if Mother Nature cooperates, I hope to see some of you at Baker's this weekend. I had not been there at all until this year; stopped by twice, each for about an hour, and it's quite a scene on Sundays!

P.S. Had the pleasure of meeting some of you during a Sunday am ride, and Neal was kind enough to let my daughter ride in his beautiful gold 05, while I was flabbergasted when Brian handed me the red NSX. It was a joy to ride with you all!

Patrick, it'll be great to add you to the roster of local NSX'ers

It's supposed to be nice and sunny on Sunday, so Baker's sounds like a good plan.......

After 5.5 years of ownership, I finally hit the track for the first time this last Sunday at Waterford Hills with some of the gang. Brian and Judi were extremely helpful in lending me equipment for the day and Judi gave me some great on track instruction to start the day.
Also good to have everyone to help out with my tire change in the middle fo the day, which was a good call...much more grip.
It was a blast and can't wait to do it again and get better and better at it. But I'm happy I got to drive the car home at the end of the day.

Here are some pics and one of my vids. I'll try to edit all of them eventually. Can't wait to see the footage Chris took!

Awesome footage, Ryan! You were really cooking there! Love the picture of you doing the push-ups too, hahaha. :)

I'm sorry I didn't make it out last night to Compuware, I was ready to go, only to find out that I had a recording session that I thought was Thursday.

And now, I have the video made of your car from the day. I am VERY exited for you to see this, I think you are going to be very pleased!!!

Grab a drink, sit back, and ENJOY!!

Chris

OK, that was a push-up..............I was thinking that maybe you didn't understand the concept of planking very well ;-P

Chris, great footage and presentation, I especially like the P-I-P parts!

Brian

LOL I have a huge grin on my face right now! :D

This was just an experiment, and I was so exited at how it came out. I couldn't wait for you to see it, and your reaction just made my day!!

Let me know if you dyno the car, or if there are any dyno events in the area where I can spectate, because I would love to get footage of that too!

Chris

Any of you up for a comedy show?

My son's hockey team is doing a fundraiser. $15 gets you a ticket to Joey's Comedy Club in Livonia for Saturday 10/29 5:30PM... adults only. I believe there is a 2 drink minimum (not that any of you would have a problem filling that quota). I have to purchase the tickets in advance so let me know if you are interested. Thanks
